The offense played terrible as a whole today. And no need to talk about the defense. The o-line did not come to play today, especially vernon carey. ricky didnt come to play today. hartline didnt come to play today. henne came to play, but he always does.

I have to give props to Ted Ginn. He was one of the few bright lights in the game today. He actually made some catches today, he was blocking well on sweeps, and he actually attempted to run after the catch.

Just something to smile at among the doom and gloom all over the forum.

I did notice he ran after the catch on that one catch. He made some nice plays today. Some consistency would be nice.

yeah, he needs to keep it up, and henning needs to dial up more deep plays for him

i agree, he has tons of speed. You have to take at least one shot a game at a long ball. I see other teams get like 3-5 deep bombs a game sometimes. I dont think we got that many all season.

that's because he was used correctly. He has been flying under the rader making a few plays here and there the last few weeks. This is because they haven't put him in a position to feel the pressure of being a number #1 receiver. I say keep him as a #2 or 3 and go get Brandon Marshall, cut the losses with Patrick Turner.

That was one thing I liked about Linehan's offense when he was here. We didn't complete a whole lot of deep passes, but when we showed that we weren't afraid to take those shots downfield it forced secondaries to play it safe and open things up underneath. Why not do that more with Ginn, even if we end up overthrowing him on 60% of the plays?

can people get off this guy now? he made alot of plays this week and should have had more yardage than the stat sheet showed... let him go deep against the steelers.. he is our best threat at reciever!

Actually, Ginn has played well over the last several games. He has caught the few balls he has had thrown at him and his route running appears to have improved. I have noticed on several occasions that he has been able to get seperation from coverage.

Ginn is not going anywhere. Aside from his KO ability, since defenses have left him in single coverage, his game has picked up over the last half of the season. If they get a #1 that commands double coverage, Ginn may be very scary for defenses to deal with.

I was glad to see Ginn playing with some heart out there. Love to see more of it from him.

The football gods were toying with us , they only let ginn catch the ball because it didn't count.

I have to agree that he has made some strides but we definatly need to see more consistency from him. He is without a doubt the biggest threat at receiver we have and does have potential to be a game breaker. He showed us that last year against buffalo when he had 175 yds rec. I think with a full year under Henne's belt that we will see a big difference next year. We still def need a true #1 but i think with the current receiving core we have now plus a real number 1 miami will have a more consistent offense that will have the potential to put up some big numbers next year. Ronnie will be healthy too so watch out

Ted Ginn is the most tantalizing bust of all time. I'd rather we just have a guy I can blame for all the world's ills than have a guy like Ginn who will play like a Pro Bowler every two months.
