Shula and the old boyz love hearing this

seems like the article was written prior to Monday Night's game between the Cotls and Steelers...

Madden & Micheals were commenting on how they thought Dungy would keep his starters in...

I think San Diego is going to beat Indy anyways.

Haha that sucks for guys in fantasy with Peyton, Edge, etc.

I have fringe guys that will be competing till the end.

Carson, LT2, Tiki Barber, etc.

On Monday night's game, John Madden stated that he talked to Don Shula and the Don said that Indy's going to go undefeated. Hey, if the Don said it, it's good enough for me!
Manning broke Marino's single season TD record, why should it surpirse anyone that the Colts go undefeated. Would love to see them lose just one, but if they do go undefeated, couldn't have happened to a better group of guys.

Good luck Indy

The '72 team did it with a backup QB so the Colts should try to also.

Yeah i've got Harrison and Clark, which really won't hurt me cause i've got Boldin/Andre Johnson/Bruce on the bench at wideout and L.J. Smith at te.

Last year I had Peyton Manning as my Fantasy Football candidate....I did great during the regular season and was in 1st place as Peyton threw for a record 49 TD's....but then Dungy sat Peyton out towards the end of the season and I got killed. I think if the Colts have a way to go 16-0 they will keep their starters in...and then try for 19-0.

Yep. And they had the backup in for 12 games, including their first playoff game and half of the AFC Championship. I won't harp on any of this if the Colts go undefeated, because I feel that an undefeated season stands on its own and doesn't need to be compared to another. But neither will I mind if Indy loses a game "only" because they've benched people.

Yea, you're right, but Earl Morrell was no ordinary back-up Quarterback.

Fantasy football owners all around the world lose in the playoffs.

That killed me in '99, I had a ton of rams on my team and they barely played or sta that final week and I finished 2nd instead of first.

I traded Peyton for Chad Johnson in the 2nd week of the year. I have Steve Smith, Chad Johnson and Chris chambers in my starting lineup. Trading peyton was the best thing I did.

Why would Shula and the crew love hearing that their record would stay intact simply because the Colts didn't even try. There is no pride in that, if anything they should feel embarassed because a NFL team that benches its team on the cusp of an undefeated season is saying, '"We dont care about no record. You can have it."
