There are over 2000 on BamaOnline's (Rivals) premium board, it looks like Shula is out in Alabama.

Lose to Auburn 5 times in the row (4 times under Mike) changes are going to be made.

:yeahthat: I like Shula. He has brought some good players through Bama's system, and they have had a pretty nasty defense the last few years.

Michigan St., anybody?

I hope not, I'd hate to beat him every year.

Where'd you hear this or what are you basing this on???

I'm a member of Rivals and BamaOnline...there are that many people on the board a lot, usually when speculation of big news (like the rumors flying now).

I'm a Shula supporter (obviously). It baffles me how people forget about Bama's great yr. last yr....started out 10-0 and finished in the top 10 in the polls. I'm just as unhappy about this season as the next guy, but c'mon.

Shula will more than likely stay and the OC will change. Shula's buyout is HUGE. He's a good coach and a great recruiter.

that would be a big mistake, shula is starting to turn bama back into an sec power. sure they have struggled with LSU and Auburn but so has everybody. He has landed some good recruits and looks like he is on a good track over there.

I think Shula has the program moving in the right direction and I expected them to fall back a little after last season because they lost Croyle. If the Tide come out next year and stink up the place I think Shula is in trouble but I think Tide fans should look at this season as a wash!

They also lost Prothro last year because Shula wanted to run up the score on the Gators

Now that Shula has been shown the door the Bamer's paid Rival Board has all sorts of rumors about Spurrier. They range from SOS being on campus to SOS being offered a 10 year $30,000,000 contract.

Almost 4,000 posters are bogging down BOL's servers.

Well Michigan State was not that awesome with Saban either. He had 4 mediocre years and one real good one. Shula took over a team on probation and the only reason I can see them firing him is that they have a big time replacement basically inplace. I think its stupid to fire Shula after he did so well the previous year. He took over a team with all kinds of NCAA sanctions.
I used to be an alabama fan as a kid but the program played musical chairs with coaches after Bryant and I lost interest after Curry was fired. Just another reason for me to dislike Alabama. Hope Shula gets another chance soon.

Saban teams at Mich St went Mike Shula Ala
