Shula Criticizes Johnson.....Again

haha. he really hates him. It just seems to me like shula is hell bent on bashing johnson for all eternity.

I'm sure Johnson doesn't care as he's hanging out on his yacht.

Can you blame they guy? Johnson basically greased the skids out of town for Shula then proclaimed a new dynasty here and did next to nothing here. I think leaving with a 63-whatever beating was disgrace enough. At least Shula didnt go out like that, Shula never quit.

Those guys were tired and it showed in JJ's last game.....all that coaching experience...and his players didn't have their legs back for that game! So sad....

Not to mention foisting Wanny onto us.

Shula is da man. He is the Miami Dolphins, without him, Miami
is just another team. Jimmuh gave Miami some of it's worst
moments, including Wanny.

Shula is telling the truth, but I don't know if it's very classy to go around talking trash. He's a living legend, and one of the all time greatest coaches, so I'll cut him some slack to vent a little.

Jimmy took an offense of players that were skilled at the passing attack and tried to force them into something they weren't good at...pounding the ball up the middle and play-action. Couple that with the decision to take away Marino's audibles, and you've basically castrated your team by removing the strong points of their best player.

It makes me mad when I think about it. I know he was trying to be Dallas Cowboys part 2, and yeah, they were friggin awesome when he was there, but I wish he would have been willing to make a plan around the strengths of his team instead of trying to force everyone to do what worked at his last team.

Shula isn't going around talking trash just for the heck of it, reporters are asking him questions and he's answering them. If it weren't for the questions being asked, Don wouldn't say a work about it.... so lay off of Don, he's only asking a question asked of him... that's all, he's NOT bringing it up himself! Oh yeah, and he happens to be right!

I wish Shu's would find the high road again. I like him better up there.

I didn't realize Jimmy Johnson owened the dolphins? that's right he doesn't. so remember wayne didn't have to hire Dave Wanstadt. everyone bashes jimmy johnson but let's not forget. miami was in salary cap trouble when he took over and the team was starting to decline. Jimmy fixed our salary cap problems and brought in good players (mainly on defense). jimmy helped out this team. it was going in the right direction untill WAYNE hired Wanstadt.

Wannestadt was brought here to be assistant headcoach and to succeed JJ when he left. JJ certainly had a hand in that. Ultimately Wayne signs the checks but JJ most definetly played a huge part in Wannestadt being coach here.

/me rolls his eyes

Lets not forget that the real reason Wayne hired him was one of the terms for Jimmy not quitting a year earlier.

Everyone knows Wayne is loyal to his coaches and Wayne never would have hired Wanny without Jimmy.

Wayne trusts the guys he puts in to run his football operations. He misplaced his trust with Jimmy.
