Mike Shula fired, announcement this morning...

very tough day for this Bama fan and Shula supporter...
 
Bummer, should have got at least 1 more year IMO.
 
well, not too surprising.

so who's next? i've heard various rumors, but nothing substantial. maybe they should go after randy shannon because of the whole black coach problem they had when they hired shula.
 
I've heard Spurrier mentioned as possibly going to Bama.

Spurrier has and will be mentioned for every vacancy out there.
 
There are a lot of names being thrown out and the University is reportedly looking to spend top dollar and close to 30 million, so who knows.

I hear Spurrier, Saban, Rodriguez, Petrino, and Beamer...but I don't actually see getting any of them.

Whatever.
 
wow, just wow, i have to say i think bama went the wrong way on this. he was really starting to turn that program back into a threat in the SEC. I can see some dark days ahead for bama.
 
I liked Shu. I thought he was a good coach. Always thought he'd be an NFL coach one day.
 
Rumor has it that Spurrier is down here in Tuscaloosa playing golf and checking out property
 
no way, spurrier would go to UM if he would leave the ****s. I really think he is staying at the other USC

USF's head coach. they were talking to him last year when his contract was up, so i don't see why they wouldn't want to look at him now with a vacancy.
