SI Article About the Pass Interference Call

If you read the rest of the article though this guy is obviously a d-bag. He said it didn't affect the outcome of the game. Just look at his picture. Plus Moss gets away with PI every week, its nothing new.
 
What pisses me off is that had it been say Greg Camarillo, you know he would've been called for interference. And Dan Dierdorf is an *** for saying Moss didn't gain an advantage by holding his shoulder. How does he know how hard Moss was pressing down and giving Goodman a subtle tug backwards?

Really, by Dierdorf's logic, any penalty that doesn't directly affect the play should just be ignored. Holding away from the ball? Just ignore it since the TD would've happened anyway.
 
He's not supposed to be touching him at all and I also fail to see how someone having their arm on your back and applying pressure doesn't affect you at all. If that had been a defensive back doing that to a receiver, it most certainly would have ended in a PI call on the defender.
 
Rose tinted glasses. BOTH players were guilty of contact. That said the umpire should have either called both or neither but in the end Moss's push was in response to the arm bar and if you follow play logic he is entitled to extracate himself from a foul play.

arm bar?
goodman did nothing to hint towards defensive pass interference. i was high fiving some dolphins fans in the restaurant yesterday cus i thought it would be called back and we all just went silent as it was called on goodman, who was in position every step of the way without any contact on moss. garbage.

That started the whole domino effect for our team losing it late in that game.

We had that game until the officials intervened because whether you like it or not the NFL has a hard on for the patriots still, and Cassel every week is becoming more and more like Brady in the media frenzy and the NFL's perception of him is starting to grow and grow.

The NFL is so biased towards NE its ridiculous.
 
I have seen alot of PI calls on db's when they have position on the ball. The refs say impeading the reciever. I am confused, if they are going for the ball they have just as much right to it. Moss had him down by his shoulder and our db was in better position to catch the ball (from what i seen).
 
The guy is right a team that gives up 31 points in the 2nd half shouldn't blame a call, unfortunately for him the Dolphins we're very much alive until this call completely shifted momentum. If I'm wrong, the Dolphins were down 3 points. The PI call going the other way and Miami's still alive.

This loss doesn't hurt as much as others.
 
Moss OPI will come back to haunt him like it did last year... the league needs to look at guys like TO and Moss a little closer but they league loves the offense..., the league has changed dramatically over decades, the rules are Offensively slanted no pun intended...

Marino would have had much better numbers under the way the game is called today...

No, the guy is a piece of ****. After that BS call, we were down by 2 scores against a team we had been in a shootout with for the entire game. We could afford to be 2 scores down. We had to make something happen and ended up throwing an INT right after that.
 
Like it even mattered, the Patriots moved the ball so fluidly we could have dragged down every one of their wideouts on every play and they still would have marched down the field on us.

Besides, Randy Moss is a physical WR who is notorious for getting away with PI. In fact many of the great physical WRs do. Michael Irvin did it all the time too. Sometimes the Hall of Fame players get breaks for being that damn good.
