SI Article On Ricky

This guy is demonstrating a real hard on for the Phins. First he dumps on Culpepper, now Ricky. Next he'll be calling Saban a bust.
I read it all, and it didnt seem like he was trashing us. Just stating the fact that Ricky is in trouble. The guy brings up a very valid point about Ricky's past. No need to hate the writer because he didn't write "Dolphins are awesome!!!"
Some great points he makes are:

1. Ricky's past will wotk against him in the appeal. Tags may not care about mercy for someone who has blown chance after chance and tells he media about how much he loves pot.

2. This is the same NFL who fines people for wearing the wrong socks.

3. The NFL wants to send a message. NFL loves image and may not care about a character such as Ricky.

Very valid points. Not hate.

trouble is ricky owes the dolphins a LOT of money and huzienga is 1/32nd of the league. not to mention it's no skin off the nfl's back if they ignore this herbal test and wait for ricky to screw up the next time when they could really nail him. i think it's worse for the leagues image considering the leak and other circumstances and i predict he will play in '06.

Last week Jeffri was all over Daunte's nutz and now he is on Rickys....he is drinking to much Dolphin's Hatorade. Go find a new team to dis Jeffri.....bet you got beat up a lot on the playground as a kid didn't you Jeffri. :D

So let me get this straight, Ricky will be found guilty this time because he was found guilty before? So why even have the appeal? If we have a previous record then we MUST be guilty of the new offense, :shakeno: I don't think so! Seems like this guy has had some bad experiences with the law, bitter little man. 4 Game suspension just like last year. IMO

I think it's a toss-up on whether Ricky wins his appeal or not. The writer does bring up good points about his past problems and acknowledgements of pot use, but then again Ricky has been a "model" NFL citizen/player for the past year.

I still think that if someone in the Denver organization did not leak this, then it would be MUCH easier for him to win his appeal, because the public would have never known about it. Now that the public knows, the NFL may feel like they have to discipline him in some way.

And why the hell is the NFL not going after the Denver organization or the person who leaked this information?!?!?! Just one more reason for me to really hate the Broncos!!!

Exactly. 90% of the people here dont even think about what was written. Just if its slightly bad for Miami they are horrible writters. Its annoying

this guy is probably right. Even now that Ricky is innocent..it won't matter. Only us fin fans have seen the change.

I honestly don't see how this article is dumping on Ricky. It all looks pretty accurate to me.

he doesn't have much else to write about. until the draft, or something big breaks this is the crap he comes up with.

all the stories about fins are either good or very negative. let'em write what they want. IN SABAN WE TRUST!!!!!

I object to his tone. He implies that Ricky has no chance, which is not accurate.

Its all up to Paul Tagliabue. And Tags doesnt give a rats pattooty about the Dolphins. He only cares about teams like Denver and Dallas. the ones who bring in the big bucks. He is leaving soon and he will want to show the world he is boss. then again, i dont think he wants his butt sued either.
