5. Lousaka Polite, Dolphins. Polite initially made his name in the NFL as a special teams ace for Bill Parcells in Dallas. A hard-working, physical player who likes contact, he endeared himself to Parcells and ended up in Miami and emerged as a starter in '08. Coach Tony Sparano says Ronnie Brown will be the focus of the offense this season, and he will have Polite to thank for many of the yards he gains.

Very awesome, I'm glad hes getting the credit he deserves, he did excellent for us last season!

WoW thatsa good news ppl dont always notice the FB's ... Glad we got a good one .. Like i said b4 we need hard workers on the team can never have enough ...

Why the football "God", Bill Parcells and company passed up on Peyton Hillis in favor of Jalen Parmele and Lex Hilliard is beyond me....

Who knew what Peyton Hillis would turn into? All football is a crap shoot with draft picks. All you can hope for is someone who doesn't mess up easy calls like the previous regimes. Not even Belicheat is perfect. I think Trifecta is doin' okay so far. They like going with guys they know-have seen, have coached-that they know will fit into their system. Polite played for BP before. Known quantity.

I love Polite, we could always trust him on the 3rd and 4th downs.

Well it was pretty obvious to at least me that Hillis was a better prospect than Parmele or Hilliard....

I thought for sure that Hillis' versatility and the fact that he was a special teams demon would endear him to Bill Parcells....

Hillis played WR, FB, RB, TE, etc....for the Razorbacks....not to mention paving the way for TWO 1,000 yard rushers in DMC and Felix Jones....he played against elite competition in the SEC week in and week out...demolished Ali Highsmith in the passing game against LSU...scoring 2 TD receptions....

Hillis also led the Razorbacks ENTIRE TEAM in receptions from his fullback spot with 44 his senior year....

...then goes to the combine and runs a 4.5....faster than half of the runningbacks....

Hillis was the poster child for a "Parcells type" football player.....at least I thought he was....I pined for Hillis to be one of Miami's later round picks....and every time Miami picked and it was some 2nd hand RB and not Hillis....I knew it wasn't good....

Boo hoo.

Probably what the football God was doing when Hillis was tearing through his defense to the tune of 7 catches for 116 yard and a touchdown too...

Yeah, and who won that game? The point is, yeah, he'd probably have more value to us than Parmele and Hilliard, but thinking about what could have been won't get anyone anywhere. Our FB is Lousaka Polite, and he's doing great for us.

Who cares about Peyton Hillis?

He wouldn't have even seen the field if all 7 of their running backs ahead of him weren't on injured reserve

And Tom Brady would be a nobody if Drew Bledsoe never got hurt. That might be the most absurd statement I heard tonight. Injury's are part of the game. With that said I take Lousake over Hillis anyday.
