I know he vistited us already, but what was the outcome? Do we have a legitimate shot here? crucial we land him especially with the VOID at RT and now Mario Williams signed to the bills.
 
He wants to come to Miami but apparently we're lowballing him. He's scheduled to meet with the Chiefs soon. Miami may need to up their offer if they really want him.
 
I think Winston is meeting with the Chiefs and Lions. I don't know about you guys but I think it's time to focus on obtaining Matt Flynn, unless we just want another year of Matt Moore, and then maybe draft Barkley next year after we go 3-13. :rolleyes2:
 
We are not going to pay the guy, so he will not be coming here.

The only reason this guy even visited us in my opinion is his brother Matt Winston is part of the Dolphins college scouting staff and his wife wants him to come here, prob cuz she wants the glitz and glam life of south beach.
 
we were concerned with resigning our own first i feel. i am hoping we come back after him with a better offer, and them restructure some of our own players
 
I know how much everyone here hates Olinemen but hes very crucial in this off season especially with the defenses in the division we play. we can nab tannehill @ 8 and stock pile on Wideouts with the 2nd and one of the 3rd picks.
 
I keep hearing how we are "low balling" him. Does anyone here know how much he is asking for? Anyone know what we offered him? He was scheduled to make 5.5 million this season before getting cut. How much more than that should we spend on him? Can we high ball him and still afford to pay Flynn AND all our draft picks?
 
look at how much Nicks and Grubbs got. THey are guards, Winston is a Tackle. AKA, Winston will probably want more or probably the same as what Nicks and Grubbs got.
 
It's just way too much money. RT is a need, but we're paying Big Jake over 12 mill, Incognito is getting over 4 mill, we just drafted Pouncey in the first round, and now this guy wants probably around 8 mill a year at RT? This is just too much money, and at this point I'd be absolutely thrilled to give the job to Murtha, Jerry, or a draft pick.
 
We need a tackle bad, we just can't afford him. Also, they're still holding out hope for Peyton, apparently.

Seriously. All this team does is pour money and high picks on an o-line that still needs work. Lets roll with the guys we have, find some help later in the draft, and hope our new o-line guru head coach is actually a guru and can identify talent, unlike our last one.
