Sick of so called "Dolphins" fans

I'm sick of other fans thinking they have the right to tell me who I can and can't root for. Just because I voice my dismay for moves the front office makes and other things that I disagree with within the organization doesn't make me any less of a fan. Being a fan doesn't mean you have to blindly follow and agree with absolutely everything the team does, that's ridiculous.

To me, being a fan means you are passionate about the team. Me being pissed off about the team making stupid moves or being mad at players for doing a poor job doesn't mean I hate my team. It means I'm ****ing passionate about my team. I care about the Dolphins and I care about the future of this organization. If the season turns sour rather quickly, then yes, I'll freely admit that I'm all aboard the "Suck for Luck" bandwagon. Does that make me any less of a fan? Hell no, it means I care about this team and want what's best. If suffering through another bad season to change out the FO/coaches and/or get Luck then that's what I want to happen. I want what's best for the team...period.

I've watched Dolphins games since I can remember (my earliest memory is probably around age 5 or 6). And when I say I watched games, I don't mean they were on and I was in the room, I mean I actively watched the game. I yelled and cheered, even as a kid. I've spent a lot of money on memorabilia and countless hours searching for and watching god awful streams online in order to watch my beloved Dolphins play, and I'll be damned if I EVER switch teams. Hell, I even watch horrible streams of meaningless preseason games.

So go ahead, say what you want about me and others like myself, but you're far from correct when calling us out. We voice our dismay because we CARE about the team and what the future holds.

P.S. - I don't support the people booing players at practice. That's just plain stupidity.

just curious, what makes Luck a sure thing? why is everyone so sure Luck will automatically come in and light it up? Hes just as much of a gamble as any other QB getting drafted. Luck has been a good QB in college but that doesnt necessarily automatically mean he is a sure thing to be a franchise QB.

Omar better stfu. He keeps that **** up and "nawledge" might whip his ***. Because thats what he does. He's an *** kicker.

good one, i never said i was gonna kick neones a** (said i think people deserve to get their *** kicked for their childish behavior) but keep makin all the corny jokes so your butt buddy flynryan clicks your thanks button

He's not a sure thing...nobody is, ever. However, he looks promising and IMO is absolutely worth taking a chance on. This team (or any other team for that matter) will NEVER find a franchise QB if they never take a chance on one. It's like that Wayne Gretzky saying "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take".

Okay, so the Gretzky quote may be a little odd there, but you get the idea.

and you are right, fans who care about the team have every right to voice their concerns about moves made/players drafted etc. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Granted, there hasnt been much to be happy about for a long time but there are some posters here, and i know alot of people here know who im talking about who just b*tch about everything all the time.

And in my opinion if you root for your team to lose your not a fan...but like i said everyones entitled to their opinions and that is mine. How does someone consider themself a fan and root for the team to lose just to get everyone fired?

If a Miami game is on i will always root for them to win, its just how i am when it comes to my teams. I always root for them to win no matter what the circumstances are. Theres people here who are rooting for Henne to fail before the season even starts just to see him gone and to get Sparano/Ireland canned. What if Henne can turn it around? We have alot of pieces around him and now its up to him. I personally think Ireland has done a pretty good job, i dont see why he would get fired...

I just cant root for the Dolphins to lose or for Henne to suck. I want all players in Miami Dolphins uniforms to succeed. I dont have an emotional attachment to any player, i just want to win at all times. I want a franchise QB too but im not gonna root for them to suck for Luck when theres no guarantee Luck will ever be a franchise QB in the NFL.

But, basically it boils down to this...

People who are positive say the negative people arent real fans because they b*tch all the time and root for the team to lose to get people fired

and

People who are negative say the positive people arent real fans because theyre blind homers and dont know anything about football

the quote fits and i get what your saying

But what im getting at is...QBs develop differently. Everyone who wants Luck will not want to give him time to develop. If we were to get him and he sucked the first year all the same people who wanted him would want him out and want someone else. Theres no guarantee he will even be a franchise QB. So why root for Henne to suck when it is possible that Henne could turn it around. Some guys take a few years to get it together. I personally think Henning had alot to do with Henne but Henne did alot of bad things on his own as well. I just dont agree with the whole "suck for luck" movement. Im sorry i just cant get on board.

I respect your loyalty to the team and understand where you're coming from. I used to be the fan that rooted for the team no matter what. During the 1-15 season I cheered my *** off. I defended my beloved Dolphins against a barrage of insults and jokes from friends. I explained to them that that 1-15 team lost 6, yes 6 games by a mere 3 points each. That team could've easily been 7-9. Bad, but a little more respectable than 1-15.

However, I'm just fed up with being mediocre. I've never seen this team play in the super bowl in MY ENTIRE LIFE and just one time I want that feeling. I can't imagine how excited and on edge I would be watching my Dolphins in the super bowl. I'm also a big Mavericks fan and words can't describe how happy I was to see Dirk, Cuban, and all those vets finally get that monkey off their backs and get that ring. I imagine if I take that excitement, and multiply it by 100, it might, might come close to how excited I would be to see the Dolphins win the big game.

I supported this regime and everyone in it (except for Henning, good lord he was awful), up until the end of last season. Losing to the Browns, Lions, and Bills at home is just sickening. What topped it off for me was the Harbaugh debacle. Once that went down, I honestly lost all faith and confidence in the organization. However, I've had months to cool down from that and I'm very excited for the new season to begin and my confidence is slowly coming back.

I want the team to succeed, and I do believe we have a decent shot. Last year we beat the super bowl champs (of course they had many injuries, but that's part of the game), and we should've had that game against the Steelers. We almost had wins against both super bowl teams and we almost swept the Jets again. So there is hope for this team. We're not far from playoff contention. I'm more excited about our defense than I have been since Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Patrick Surtain, and Sam Madison were on the field for us. I fully believe Mike Nolan will have this team's defense running on all cylinders. The thing that worries me most is the QB position. I don't have much, if any faith in Henne. Is that fair? Maybe not, but I don't want to take any chances with him. Was Henning largely at fault? Most likely, he's the worst offensive coordinator I've EVER seen. However, I'd much rather go into this season with Orton. I'm unsure if Henne can do well without that idiot Henning calling the plays, but I'm not sure I want to find out. If we don't end up with Orton, then oh well, I guess we'll wing it with Henne.

I'm all for wanting us to do well, but if we start with an abysmal record (1-7, 2-10, etc), then I think it's time to go for Luck.

I'd be more than willing to let Luck develop for a few years, similar to what the Packers did with Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, we may not be very good his first few years, but you have to be patient. I know I'm contradicting myself about patience with Henne, but after watching him, I just don't feel like he's the answer. I do think Henning had something to do with Henne's performance, but I just don't have any confidence in Henne. When he takes the field I just fear that he's always going to screw up =(

From what I'm picking up ... Maybe instead of booing, the fans should chant ... "Henne needs an az-kicking" lol

IMHO ... I like to yell funny stuff at the players. Players tune out boos, but they can't help but listen to something that's funny & true. I can almost always get them to act like they're just looking around, when they're trying to figure out who's talking jive. You have to experiment around & see what they'll pick up on. My goal is to get them to smile, then needle them for smiling ... its fun & I believe the players get a kick out of it, if you aren't mean.

i.e. I was sitting by First Base & some heavy hitting rookie was getting only curve balls (most fans don't see these nuances). I kept yelling, I'm an As fan, but you need help friend ... forget other pitches & brace for curve balls. Anywho, through innings & alot of comments ... I was yelling ... dude, your missing those curves by a foot ... close your damn eyes & swing as hard as you can, do yourself a favor ... that got him looking over regularly. Alot of other fans took up the curve ball cause. He finally fouled a couple off ... & I was yelling, "SEE!! .... You owe me big time" ... he kept getting the biggest grin on his face ... because it was true, ridiculous advice, & funny!!

I live on the Left Coast, & they're much better at heckling out here than most parts ... they yell a lot of funny stuff (they get mean too, using stuff they've read). It often makes the opposition bezerk.

Oakland As baseball is best ... their crowd is smaller & comprised of hard-core fans. You may recall a couple years ago, they worked a relief pitcher into such a tizzy yelling funny stuff that he snapped, threw a bull-pen metal folding chair at them about 15 rows deep ... they ducked & it hit a little old lady. Then fans really put the 'needle' to him & the whole team, it was hilarious. Opponents complained publicly in the newspaper about the needling ... which of course, made it worse for years to come. The fools!!

I myself would never boo a practice but people said the same thing when people booed the ginn pick and guess what they were right in the end. If u a fan u spent your money do your thing.

Matt Moore is a golden god!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!

Where do I buy my Jeff Ireland fathead?

I don't boo players. Everyone (or at least most) want to do their best. Nobody wants to be injured or be injury prone.

I'm sure Ireland also is trying to do his best. But his personnel decisions are awful.

You are the perfect example of why Lions eat their young!

I wasn't at this practice so I'm just going off the info from the live tweets that came in during practice last night....it's truly a shame how bad our fans can be.

On Fan Appreciation night, we actually boo our team??? And don't think you're just booing Henne, you're booing our entire team. The entire team hears the boos, not just one player that they may be directed too. On top of that, if you all really want Orton, it's a great way to give our FO leverage by booing Henne and yelling out at practice how much you want him. The Broncos fans/media are much better at playing poker...all you hear out of that camp is how Orton looks great, working with the 1's and is outperforming the other QB's. True or not, it certainly doesn't give the Dolphins FO any leverage at all in trying to complete a trade.

Keep booing our team Dolphins "fans"....real classy
