regardless of whether or not it is a preseason game. here our some signs that will guide us in which way the season will go.

# 1 our qb squad how and who they play will speak volumes ,for instance Guss is our starter but how A.J. Feeley, Sage Rosenfelds, and Brock Berlin , play will help shape the roster.

#2 our oline must play well tonight if our first team oline plays really well then we should be able to give the rb and qb time to their thing.
if our first team oline suxs then we will have a losing season until the line is blown up and rebuilt .

#3 our wide receivers are way overrated and mercury 40 tried to cation you all on them if, they step up this will be a major factor in how our season goes. can boston stay healthy? is thompson still droping passes ? most people who watch us play usually say our corp is below average at best , and i am starting to beleive that our receivers are average at best but not below average. good receivers catch the freaking ball even when its raining.

# 4 our te's are really , really good if only we could carry 4 te's and 5 wrs it no doubt that randy needs to step up and diamond and rader are good but lee isnt the answer and holmes will be cut.

#5 the fbs if it was me i would cut all of them excepth evans then draft big and very powerfull shaun willis who is the next csonka trust me on this. this might allow us to keep 4 or 5 te's who actually contributes the same way the fbs so ther is my reasoning there.

#6 the seconday is the main subject of my concerns here. can our secondary make some plays ? that is what i do not know for sure.

last special teams we need special teams to step up three notches if our longest run is less then 20 yrds then our sp teams wont be special at all.

vip here fellas and its how many injuries and penalties out boys get tonight. so with that said who will get the most penalties tonight? my gues is offense esp oline.

I don't agree with the majority of your post.

1. I think we will carry 3 QB's no matter how they play tonight.

2. I would like our o-line to play well tonight, but the reality is it takes time for an o-line to gel. If they suck tonight that doesn't mean they will the entire season. Please don't "blow them up" based on tonights performance.

3. I don't believe any so-called 'expert' publication has over-rated our wide receivers. Chambers is very good but has to put together a stellar season to reach the upper tier. Booker and Boston are great for the 2 and 3 spots. Depth will be o-kay.

4. Randy McMichaels is extremely good, but other than that our TE's are merely long on potential short on production.

5. Evans is a good fit for fullback. We probably don't need more than one. I'm not ready to place my draft hopes on Shaun Willis- Larry Czonka's shoes are mighty big to fill.

6. I agree with your concerns about the secondary. Hopefully some players will step up. We need to remember that they are still learning a new system and it may take a little longer to find out how they will play together as a group.

7. After giving up special teams touchdowns I am a little concerned about that area. However, that has traditionally been a team strength and I believe it will be again this season.

Pre season games are good for teaching and evaluating but not for determining how the entire season will unfold. Here's hoping for a better season than you seem to predict.

I just have a feeling that you and mercury 40 are the same person. :hmmm:

The only thing on your post that I agree with is #6. Outside of that im not sure what you are talking about. Why is it that you think this one preseason game is going to determine the rest of our season?

I dont agree either, especially about the WR's being overrated and the Te's being great. You are basing this just on a few preseason games. Rader caught a lob for a TD and everyone thinks he is the next antonio gates, mcmichael hasnt played well, and lee cant catch. Diamond has been decent but he isnt a star. Our WR's are fine, the only bad thing about them is that our QB's cant get them the ball.

The thing that will determine our season tonight is how good ronnie and ricky are as a duo and gus with the qb situation.

There will be things that take place tonight that will give us an idea of how certain players will perform in the regular season, but NOTHING will determine our season. The preseason just isnt that important. The most important thing tonight is the QB battle, that will have the largest effect on the season, but determine is the wrong word to use.

i dont think our WR are great... and thats from the past few seasons. Sure there has been the highlight catch... but cmon...they like every player have to elevate their game.

Lets just hope there are no major injuires tonight to any of our critical folks.....that would really suck.
