Silver: philbin and Ireland *NOT* expected to survive

He is getting fired...At the end of the year.

Why fire a coach now? Let him get you 0-16 and the number 1 overall pick. That's a big win.

Because you have $100mil invested in players currently and you want to see them utilized well as to figure out how to proceed in the offseason. Only some fans root for sucking for the number 1 pick. The FO wants a successful organization.

Teddy Bridgewater.

New coach, new GM.

Colts v 2.

Forward thinking people sacrifice short term for long term success.

Look at the Colts and look at the dolphins...

Imagine if we sucked for Luck...

Oops.

That most the most preposterous combination of drivel I have ever heard. Good grief! I think it's time to let Ireland go also

HOWEVER....I'm not going to be that ignorant and let Forbes magazine decide the fate of the Dolphins. Are some of you guys here actual real fans????

I wasn't being ignorant. I was pointing out what was written in an article comparing him to others. It's as simple as that!!!

Imagine what? The other 52 don't matter? It's easy to say what could have happened with certainty. It's tough to see what will happen. Bridgewater is like every other draft pick, a coin toss. He could be Ryan Leaf, JaMarcus Russll or Peyton Manning. You don't tank a season, lose revenue, and tick off your fan base on purpose to have a shot at a slightly better coin toss. Think like an owner, not a fantasy football owner.

Haha, the OP creates the worst thread I've ever seen and then never returns to it. Classic.

Look ******* obviously I read the scroll wrong and couldn't take the post down. Forgive me I was just waking up.

The fact remains I don't believe either party should be fired.

The more we learn the less this seems like a systemic failure and more like Martin has a serious issue and his parents needed a scapegoat

Don't get upset, dude. It's just really funny.

Sorry, frustrating day, lost in fantasy football and basketball on fluky stuff...but more importantly the terrible journalism in this incognito case is making me wanna pull my hair out over here...I prob care too much...but even if this didn't involve the fins I'd be pissed, I'm already sick of how these terrible safety rules are ruining the product on the field, now we have an obviously disturbed individual bringing the league to its knees with a fabricated bullying scandal

If Ross hires a QUALITY G.M. Philbin is gone. That GM will want his own H.C. And he certainly won't want anyone connected with this mess. It is that simple. If he promotes from within and the Dolphins win 10 or more games then that changes things.

I watched Teddy Bridgewater get steamrolled live by a lowly Syracuse U. team.

I really don't see Ireland getting fired. Ross has been happy enough with him and the recent contract extension shows that. If Martin doesn't walk out on his team we aren't even talking about this. Ireland is doing it his way and not Parcell's way and it hasn't been that long its been 100% Ireland calling the shots without Parcells. He's improving as GM and the trade up for Dion Jordan was solid.
This offense might be a lot different if Dustin Keller doesn't get hurt.

From now on we have a definitive answer to the question "Who was the Dolphins' worst draft pick ever?" Answer: The one who destroyed an entire front office, team, locker room, and franchise image.

And he might even cost us penalty picks in the future.

These are the drip and drag articles that will be numerous until Martin actually states who the persons responsable are. Which he probly never really will, only making appearances to make it seam like he is defending himself, when really, this is a media game.

They use "inside sources tell us"

Well, Do your inside sources tell you that the NFL will actually be objective in their findings and actually ask this bonehead why he walked out without asking for help?
