Miami Dolphins: The idea of Manning taking his talents to South Beach is a sound one – he has a residence in that trendy neighborhood. The Dolphins just hired a coach (Joe Philbin) known for his offensive acumen, and Brandon Marshall is a big-time receiving threat. The running game was surprisingly strong during the second part of the 2011 season, with Reggie Bush emerging as an every-down threat, and there’s reason to believe the defense could be much improved. Weather obviously isn’t an issue, and owner Stephen Ross – who talks a big game – seems hell-bent on doing whatever it takes to make this happen. So why do I have a sneaking suspicion that, when it comes down to it, Ross will find a way to screw it up?

Sit back and enjoy the ride is what I am doing. Reading too many of these ramblings can be painful.

The media is in love right now. They have plenty of opinionated articles they can now write about Manning and his destination. Don't get yourself bent out of shape...if it happens it happens, if not we'll move on.

I just hope Manning makes his decision before free agency starts.

Silver is friends with Jason "vomit" Cole and he hates the Dolphins, nothing to see here.

I don't care if we get Manning, Flynn or draft a QB....I just want to get it over with and know who's going to be the guy.

Ozzy rules!!

i hate all of this speculation. but it is days like this that show you why the nfl is the most popular sport in america. it really is a all year sport.

Silver was also (Fisher's buddy) who wrote that the Dolphins were leading the race to get Fisher. He was using his job as a writer to try to help out his friend Fisher. He does not write objectively, but with an agenda. BUT....Thank God we did not get Fisher. Anyhow....

We should have all learned...from the second Manning is released, to the time he actually signs a contract with a team, you are not going to be able to believe a single tweet, interview, blog, or newspaper article that is released. Instead of getting accurate information to us, this wonderful age of technology has only made it easier for the idiots to spread BS.

Silver's the puke who manipulated an obviously slow-witted and very impressionable Dez Bryant into prompting him into the Ireland "mama crackho's a ho" comment and then for his own aggrandizement turning a molehill into a mountain. Since then, if he's predicting sunshine, I'm packing an umbrella. :idk:

If Silver is close with Fisher and his reason for Manning not coming to Miami is that Ross will screw it up, doesn't it sound like Ross did something to screw up getting Fisher? I was never a huge fan of getting Fisher, just connecting some dots.

Nah...I don't think Fisher was probably ever really coming to Miami. He was just using us for leverage (with Silvers writing help saying Fisher was leaning towards us) to get the absolute most power / money he could get out of the Rams.

Just my assumptions though...

He also made brady quinn look like an ass in that GQ article - and basically wrote it off that it was just business and he respects quinn for being angry at him - it was a long interview and silver pulled one sentence to sell his story - silver will eventually get his if he keeps this "form" of journalism up

I posted the link to the article already. Why did you also?

Your link earlier wasn't going to that article, it was going to an article about dropping the ball on Jeff Fisher. That's why I posted the link. Could have been a screw up by Yahoo, I dunno, just know that the link wasn't the same as you have it now.
