Nothing that hasn't been said but i'm glad someone who reaches a lot of people feels the same way:

Nick Saban on Gus Frerotte: "I'm not here to say we're disappointed in Gus. I'm not here to say we're satisfied in Gus. I'm not sure Gus is satisfied in himself." (Put it this way: When your coach discusses his QB the same way President Bush discussed FEMA in the weeks after Katrina, it's probably not a good sign for your playoff hopes.)

(Unrelated note: Thanks to DirecTV for only showing last Friday night's game in Miami and Kansas City -- and nowhere else in the country. Fantastic. Imagine being a Dolphins fan, living outside of Miami and not being able to see your own team even though you're paying nearly $200 a year to allegedly get every NFL game? How is that fair? And then they have the gall to show the replay on Sunday afternoon, like anyone would rather watch a taped game over a live one. Who makes these decisions? Was it the same guy who thinks it's a good idea to show offenses that aren't in the red zone on the Red Zone Channel, or was it a different guy?)

Our newest member of the team sure is getting some playing time this year.----Referring to your sig.

yea, he should wear #99 though, for the number of times he shows up a game. Jason Taylor can be a team player and switch #s

I agree that if you shell out the $$$ for Sunday Ticket you should get the game regardless of when its played. The commisioner of the NFL said that the reason the game wasnt shown had somthing to do with FCC rules that wouldnt allow NFL games to be shown on Friday night due to the HS football conflict. He made it sound like it wasnt an NFL decision decision at all, either way this needs to change.

He's in on almost every play. :D

Yeah, it's easy to blame Direct TV and it's also easy to call them up to complain. However, this is not their faults as there hands are tied. this needs to be revisited and resolved by the groups that have made these FCC rules. Since nobody knows who to complain to or who to lobby to we blame Direct TV.

it most certainly is DirecTV's fault... and the NFL's .... they negotiate the contract with the NFL, and you can bet those scenarios most certainly ARE covered in the contract...

You're right about Directv. They are only allowed to show games on Sunday. I believe the blame belongs to the NFL. They had the opportunity to televise the game nationally but wouldn't do it because they claim they did not want to conflict with previously sheduled high school games:shakeno: .

You are absolutely wrong. This stuff is pre determined way before the NFL and DTV negotiated their contract. It it's ever revisited, you can bet their will be representation from the NFL, NCAA and FCC but noy DTV.
