Our sources in Tampa indicate that the Bucs will entertain trade offers for QB Chris Simms. The Bucs are looking for a first- or second-round draft pick in return because they feel there’s enough depth at the QB position with former starters Brian Griese and Tim Rattay as options.

Its an interesting prospect if we compare the second round pick scenario. I do not believe he is worth the 1st rounder. If Croyle is gone by the time we pick, it may be worth considering. IMO weighing out Jacobs, Whitehurst or Simms for a second round pick. At least Simms has some playing time behind him. Thats worth a lot.

Draft choices should be used to draft a quarterback. There will be a free agent available of high quality. Seriously, do we think that between Brees, Culpepper, McNair, & Simms there won't be one that wants to join up? We sign one before the draft and that dictates whether or not we draft a long term or shorter term project at QB.

No team will be willing to do that, which means Simms isn't going anywhere this offseason. "

not looking like we will get him, unfortunately......
i hope SD and Brees do not agree on a long term contract because our options are slowly diminishing
