the dolphins are on head coach #3 not counting bates and now withour new projected starter green, 11 different starting QB's the other 10 being feidler, huard, lucas, griese, feeley, gus, sage,cp,joey, lemon. are things going to change, hopefully green can mentor beck and bring back some stability. opinions

Ummmmmm i sure hope so but all we can do is wait and see, plus with green being 37 you can add a 12th QB to the list in a few years.

i think or hope rather that the green and beck situation works out and really looking back its probably the best combination and chance of succeeding of anyone we have had in the past.

I Think I Know What's Going To Happen By Week 5 Or 6 We R Going To Be Screeming N Crying On How Bad Green It's Going N By Then They Will Bench Him N Beck Will In N Take's Us To The Playoffs, Who Agrees With Me ???????????

Plus they're only 60-52 since Marino retired and we've lost a good number of divisional games, something this franchise had never really expirienced before. There definitely needs to be a change, back to winning instead of the consistent mediocrity.

Yes, could you perhaps be a bit more concise and get to the point when you start threads, when you go into long diatribes and get so wordy it can really bog things down.

My opinion is yes, this could be the beginning of stability returning to our QB position, Green is a proven QB in this league and hopefully has something left in the tank. Beck is a fine looking prospect who will hopefully be part of returning this team to the top of league and maybe even a championship.

What is your opinion?

You hit the nail right on the head with this one.

what don't you unerstand its a simple thread just asking for an opinion, no need for those remarks of being concise we are dolphin fans we are not talking brain surgery. but i like your opinion

BlueFin What is your opinion?[/QUOTE said:
yes just like you i agree. green and beck are probably the best situation the dolphins have since marino, a proven vet and a promising rookie

heres the thing: Miami hasn't done anything significant in the nfl since Joe Robbie moved the team out of the Orange Bowl and into what was then called Joe Robbie Stadium (now known as Dolphins Stadium). All Joe's luck ran out then..he sold the team things were supposed to start looking better when Jimmy Johnson came in and was going to take the Dolphins to the promise land, but no just like every big name that comes to miami they all just choke. I mean I'll give Jimmy that he had some great draft picks with the likes of surtain, madison, taylor and zach just to name a few and then you get him to just up and leave leaving the team to the notorious pornstached football coach (Dave Wannstedt) who went and traded every draft pick the dolphins had for Ricky Williams, oh and i forgot to mention he ran marino out but thats neither here nor there, but i do remember when the rumors were swirling that he was going to sign a contract with the Vikings (i would have hated the entire dolphins front staff and would have asked for a mutiny against all of them if that had happened). Ok so Ricky works out for what maybe 2-3 years but in between his stints on the phins he realizes that the entire offense is based on him and that the QB were incapable of completing passes to any reciever in a Phins uniform. haha and if you want to argue our qb situation since 1999 just look at the names Jay Feidler, Damon Huard, Ray Lucas, Brian Griese, A.J. Feeley, Gus Ferotte, Sage Rosenfels, Daunte Culpepper, Joey Harrington, and Cleo Lemon. which one of those has gone to the probowl in a phins uniform? and how many times? The lack of leadership, poise, and ability at the QB position and the intelligence of the front office and coaching staffs of prior coaches is what has held this team back...oh and the lack of draft picks and youth over the past few years. Look at the teams that are good in this league, the teams that get into the playoffs or are over .500, most of them have had stability at the QB position. the QB is the field general and without one who can come in there game in and game out with the same kind of confidence and poise that the elite QBs in the league show its hard to win games in this competitive game. Everyone strives to be the best it doesn't matter who they are its hard to be the best without a signal caller that believes HE is the best. In the past with Marino the dolphins had success because he knew he could win any game he knew the playbook and the players and coaching staff all believed in him because he knew he was the best at his position in the entire league. So to not prolong this post any further what I am trying to say is that some one needs to get in there and be the QB for this team for a while instead of having a new guy every year.

You left Mr. Pepper (Unless "cp" is pepp) off the list...12 different starting QB's

I agree - good post. You said something in the beginning that should not be under-estimated. "Miami hasn't done anything significant in the nfl since Joe Robbie moved the team out of the Orange Bowl and into what was then called Joe Robbie Stadium (now known as Dolphins Stadium). "

My belief for part of the problem having been to both the "OB" and JRS: there is no 12th man in JRS/ProPlayer Stadium - its such a quiet stadium - lousy acoustics - no advantage from a mental aspect when the crowd tries to rattle the opponent. I really do believe this is an issue.
