As the season and my formula progress (its evoling constantly), I hope to be getting more accurate in my rankings. Two answer a few questions I know are going to come up.
1. Why is Denver so high? Aren't they playing "Cup cake" teams?
Yes, Denver has been playing the weaker teams but they are 3-0 and as we all know in the NFL wins is what counts the most. So in my formula wins are a huge factor in the over all score. They aren't the end all to be all but they influence the teams standing a lot. If Denver truly is a sub par team, look for them to drop in the coming weeks.
2. Why is Miami so low? They are sooooo much better than Detroit.
No wins and three losses are killing this team as well as a -6 turnover ratio on the season. I believe we are a better team than Detroit as well, but the lions got an upset victory and now have a win which boosts their Power index score. I don't think Detroit stays there very long at all though.
