SI's Peter King: Pay Attention to Dolphins Undrafted Free Agent WR Jeff Fuller

like Mathews better to make the roster. Fuller will make the PS team and will need to work hard for a year and then see what happens. If WR gets injured then he will provide insurance from the PS.

How cool would it be if Fuller, Mathews, Bess and Clay all beast it up this year in receiving, bunch of undrafted and late round pick ups.

The key question is WHO was considering him a first round pick.

I doubt very many reputable scouts had him as a first round pick. And of the ones that made the mistake of rating him that high, ask them what they think of the guy now. That's the problem. The fans want to pretend that the evaluation of the guy NOW, with MORE information at everyone's disposal...is somehow less valid than the evaluations that occurred when LESS information was at everyone's disposal. That doesn't make any sense.

Really Jeff Fuller is just a great storyline, but nothing more. He wasn't even Tannehill's favorite target at Texas A&M. That honor clearly belonged to Ryan Swope.

Fuller is going to make one hell of a possession receiver, and he looks like a very good, tenacious blocker to me as well. Dude is 6-3, 217 lbs. and clocked a 4.53 40. He's not the niftiest guy in the world, but he's a solid receiver, knows the offense and Tannehill, and I'll bet you that Tannehill enjoys playing with him and is comfortable throwing to him.

As to all the other bs- dude fell in the draft after a very unfortunate senior season- s*** happens. How many "reputable" scouts liked Levy Ad**** before the draft? I liked him. You liked him. IIRC we both saw him as a maybe 2nd rd and definately a 3rd rd prospect for Miami. And what happened? Dude went undrafted, Dallas picked him up in FA. As I said, s*** happens. I'm very interested to see how Jeff Fuller works out in Miami, and I think that you're being awfully hard on him and awfully negative about him. I look for him to make the 53, practice squad at the worst.

Fuller is a practice squad player at best. He has no small area quickness, he struggles to get off of press coverage and he gets no seperation. Rishard Matthews will be the guy that will surprise.

I'm not going to say that he CAN'T be a productive NFL WR, but he really has to maximize all of his talents. At this rate, he certainly can't be a productive NFL WR.

And he'll never be that guy that justifies people talking about him as a 1st RD pick.

Maybe this doesn't have anything to do with anything, but I found it interesting that Tannehill and Fuller didn't room together at rookie minicamp. Seems that when two college teammates end up on the same pro team you always hear about how they're great friends and roomed together.

Fuller and Tannehill have the chemistry already. I think it was a great idea to put Tannehill with the TE Egnew... They have to develop that bond as well of and off the field.

I'm a fan of the blank slate philosophy, catching passes is correctable.....At the start of last season I didn't want to believe a word Peter King said after he predicted us to finish 4th in the AFC East. He wasn't wrong. I value his opinion more now a days.

Hopefully Fuller can win a spot in training camp.
