Size of New OL!

We cannot confirm that will be the starting lineup...Some guys like Middleton are injury prone, Jeno James from the reviews, besides Seth is the worst linemen.

Honestly tho i havent quite given up on Mckinney yet..... if were giving everyone a fresh start with Houck, then he deserves it as well.
You haven't been reading the camp reports then huh? EVERY report has McKinney being pushed back by ANY nose tackle that he goes up against.... you can't coach talent.... he just doesn;t have any...

Here ya go:

LT -- Vernon Carey
6'5" 335

LG -- Jeno James
6'3" 315

C -- Rex Hadnot
6'2" 325

RG -- Frank Middleton
6'3" 330

RT -- Stockar McDougle
6'6" 340

Average height: just under 6'4"
Average weight: just under 330

James is your pulling guard with his lower weight and quickness. The right side of the line has your roadgraders -- 670 pounds total. Hadnot and Middleton provide the nastiness you want on any line. This line is looking eerily similar to the one Linehan had in Minnesota.

It's gonna be a different year fellas....

I wouldn't be too quick to discount John St.Clair at RG either. He was probably our best OL last year, knows the system better than Middleton at this point, and is also along the same lines as for size and strength at about 6'5" and 320 lbs to fit on a line of big hog roadgrader types.

I'd be happier with a smaller, quicker line (like Denver) then a bunch of fat, mashers.

That said, I hope those fat mashers can get the job done.

Your analysis of the o-line suggests that lil old Brock would be hard pressed to complete a pass without hitting a head or shoulder.

The quick line would require cut blocking and perfect technique. A big line of road graders can get the job done, and will take less coaching too.

I hope we see a lot of games where Ricky/Ronnie are each getting about 12-15 carries and giving great effort each run -since they won't have to pace themselves as if they might have 30+ carries. I could see a lot of games where the last big drive of the game is just a smashmouth, run-it-down-your-throat kind of offense. Run till they stop it, then think about a pass or two.

:D
