I was here last year before the season opener when we played you guys but somehow I cant remember what my screen name and other stuff were. I thought it was the same exact stuff I just put down to register again but I guess not.

Anyways, I had to respond on here about Taylor because alot of you have been way off about him. Your looking too much at the sack stats. He's been great for us and everyone including fans and the media are sad to see him miss this upcoming game. After the Giants game in which he clearly shouldnt have been playing, he has been very good. Against NO he had that sack, he tipped a pass, and out D was putting on some good pressure all game. Everyone was happy with how he played in that game. Then against the Cards he didnt get any sacks but he again had "3" tipped passes, and hit Warner another 2 or 3 times as soon as he released the ball. There was one drive where the Cards had 1st & goal at the 10 and the drive ended with Taylor batting down 2 straight passes from Warner. Infact in the last 2 games he's also had two 3rd down plays where Warner & Brees where trying to throw flare passes to Bush & Edge but ended up throwing it over there heads & out of bounds because Taylor had his hands up and they tried to throw over the top of him. Sirigousa was talking about how he's seeing what Warner is seeing and that he cant see over top of Taylor and is just hoping his teammate is there.

On top of that we are 2-1 with our only loss coming to the defending champs by 9 points on the road and it shouldve been 6pts if we wouldve kicked the late FG in a game that we clearly werent ready to play on either side of the ball. On O we were just totally struggling at that time in Zorn's system and on D we had almost the whole squad just coming back from major injuries and werent ready for game speed. Still with all of that our D totally shut them down after the 1st quarter, held them to 98 total yards and 0 points in the 2nd half. We also totally shut down the Saints powerful Offense. The Saints scored 24pts on us, 7 came off of a Bush PR, and another 7 came from a Randel El fumble inside our red zone. We picked off Brees twice, held him to 216 yards, and completely shut down there vaunted Offense. The Cards have had the best O in the NFL over the past 10 games. In that stretch theyve averaged 30ppg, had scored atelast 20 in every single game, and Warner has been the #1 QB in the NFL over that stretch with those 2 stud wr's. You guys saw how explosive they were the week before. We held them to 17pts, Warner thew for only 50%, he threw for less then 200 yards, we picked him off once, Boldin was shut down with only 32 yards, and Fitz had his 100 but 68 of those came off 1 bomb play that was on our only weak link who is SS Reed Doughty who is replacing Sean Taylor. No one even wanted him playing because we have 2 great rookie Safties, 1 of which started the previous week for a sick Doughty and won the NFC DPOW award for having 2 picks, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 crtical 3rd & 1 stop in his 1st start of his career. Doughty is only playing because he is a nice guy and our Defensive Coach has his certain special guys who he plays even though other guys are clearly better. Still, after that 1 play we immediatly sat him down for the rest of the game and brought in the rookie. That was the 1st time in forever that I remember us givng up a big play when were healthy. Were the best in the league at taking away the big play and I cant even remember the last time someone had one on us when were healthy. Our D is soooo underrated and shuts everyone down when were healthy. The only team to light us up was NE and that was just because they totally outschemed us. They didnt catch anything on our Secondary but instead threw all 5 yard passes, flares, and screens while our D sat back and gave those guys a running start.

All Im saying is that Taylor has been much better then you guys think he has. However, Im not that upset that he's missing the game because you can still tell that he's knicked up, his knee is still bothering him, and we have other good DE's. I rather him take a week off and give it some rest. BTW, nice impressive win over the Pats. I think you guys can make the playoffs this year. Everyone always leaves us out in our division but were on pace to make the playoffs for the 3rd time in 4 years and have been playing equal with everyone in our divsion since Gibbs came here. I think if we had played NY now then we would beat them but we just werent ready to play at that time. We play on the road at Dallas & Philly in our next 2 games. I think we will definatly beat Philly. We dont need either win since there both on the road but if we get 1 then I think were atuomatically in the playoffs because all 3 have to come to us in the 2nd half of the year and we will only get better as the season goes on, we get more healthy, more comfortable in Zorn's system, our Rookies will also be big factors by then. Good luck guys

IMO, the trade was a win/win for both sides. I hated to see Taylor go but I'm excited to see how our young guys pan out. I watched the Giants game and I could clearly see he was no where near 100% but knowing JT he'll give all he can anyway. I wish he could play this week so I can see both he and Zach on the field again on opposite sides. Good luck to you guys the rest of the way.

I'm not one of those guys that said Taylor would not be good with the Skins, I thought he'd be good but not dominant. Either way, it looks like the trade is working out for both teams. You guys got a good pass rusher (which became even more of a need after that dude got hurt) and we got a second round pick which is a great asset for a team like ours to have. Also, our front seven and pass rush has been okay with out him.

That, my friend, is the longest single paragraph I've ever seen.

I'm still glad we got a 2nd for him, but I wish JT all the best. Unfortunate for him/you the injury.

Peace.

i think he is still good.. he is just a bit old..

lol ok then what the hell is your point? What does kold have to do with anything if hes still good? /boggle

Love people on this forumhaha

sorry. Trust me when I say that I dont write like that but Im having the same exact problem I had on here last year. Its hard for me to seperate the paragraphs but "I think" Im learning it

You will not find anyone on this site that thinks he's not a 1st ballot HOFer.

They got a 2nd rd pick for a player that might only play 1 or 2 more years.

he's still very dominant. He always turns it on near the end of the season.
Always starts off a little slow. But than again.... this injury doesn't sound good.

ok ill explain myself cuz u obviously dont understand the nfl... he is good but old.. therefore he does not have many more years in him, plus it makes him a greater injury risk, plus it says he is out of his prime... in conclusion i am sayin nice pick up for redskins but we did good because we got a pick for a guy who prob wont play next year.. happy now?

I don't remember anyone here saying anything negative about him, maybe I just missed the posts. I wish him nothing but the best and I hope he's OK and returns in a week. With that said JT spent a whole lot of time here in Miami complaining about wanting to retire, wanting to be traded, so on and so forth. The Fans here have been suffering through the lack of success this team has had over 3 of the last five years. The difference is we aren't making millions of dollars to stick it out. We stay because we truly love this team. We don't sit through 1-15 seasons and come back for more cause it's fun, we do it cause this is our team.

JT on the other hand has had lots of success and as long as there was success he was fine, no wanting out, no complaing. The team starts to struggle and he's looking for a way out. That's fine and it's his right, but don't expect sympothy from us about it. We've put a ton of money and emotion into this team too, only we can't asked to be traded and we can't do anything about the winning and losing. All we can do is sit here and be patient and hope, maybe even complain. But this is our team and we are stuck with this team through the good and bad. JT is a whiner, when the times get tough, he wants out.

JT is a class act in the community and one heck of a human being when it comes to supporting the less fortunate. But when it comes to being a tough guy who sticks it out through thick and thin he's simply a baby.

1 weird thing is that he's playing on the opposite side for us. Whats weird about it is that all Preseason, both him & Carter switched sides all game long. A reporter asked him is he getting permission and he just said that there just doing in on there on. Then the reporter to the D-Coordinator and he said that its not ok with him and they wont be doing that during the season. It wasnt a big deal when he said it but the strange part is that since the season started, they havent switched at all. No one has really talked about that but that's weird to me. I thought the Coach was right by not letting them switch on every play because its clear they werent getting any rythm but I had the feeling that he was going to let them switch like every 3rd series or something. Thats how he made it sound. There not doing it at all though. I think he just wants Jason to get fully comfortable on his new side.

The 2nd weird thing is that Taylor played all those games straight for you but he had the big knee injury in the Preseason and clearly shouldnt have played, then against NO he got his leg rolled on and had to miss a chunk of that game right when he was starting to dominate it. He came back in but he clearly wasnt playing as well. Then in the Cards game he gets hurt again and now has to miss this next game. Thats kind of weird but I guess that starts to happened at this age. I know he wanted to play against Zack but we'll see them again

Exactly...

What people question is the other intangibles...

They don't question Zach's intangibles

No doubt you guys made the right choice. He didnt want to be there anymore and you got a 2nd round pick for a guy who is clearly at the end of his career. It was a good trade for us because we needed him with our injury and the death of Sean Taylor which hurts our Secondary and makes the pass rush that much more important. You guys couldve been dumb like the Bengals who turned down that crazy trade we offered them for Ocho Cinco and now are really regretting that since there 0-3 and he hasnt done anything.

Also, dont forget about the Snyder thing. Thats a big reason why JT came here. Snyder has all the connections. Taylor was just on TV yesterday doing something in D.C. that had to do with a movie or something and he's been talking with Snyder alot about Hollywood moves. No one has cared much since he's still playing solid and we already knew that when we signed him but I know Parcells wouldve hated that
