Young will turn out to be by far the most valuable player -- and leader -- in this draft. (For the record, I wrote a year ago that Cadillac Williams would be the best player in the draft, and Tampa Bay stole him with the fifth pick.) If Texans owner Bob McNair doesn't overrule his football decision-makers and insist on taking Young, this franchise will regret it for a long, long time.

Cadilac was in no way better than ronnie equal or slightly advantage but no better... and in no way better than meryman...

now he comes in and annoys people with vince young while the guy as been dropping on everyone's board

I've always hated Bayless and go buy the opposite of what he says. It's hard to believe, but he makes Woody Paige look like a genious on Cold Pizza.

As for the news, mark my words, VINCE YOUNG WILL BE A BUST! In that national championship game I didn't see him check down once. He would look to his first guy and if he wasn't open, he'd take off and run. Which is okay against a terrible USC defense but in the NFL there is no way that'll cut it. I feel bad for the team that takes him which will probably be the Raiders. I would love to see Buffalo or New York take him, man that'd be great.

And lastly, the Carnell Williams thing. He was better in the first couple of games. But after that Ronnie was better in every statistical category until he was hurt. If you watched the Tampa Bay New England game, you were not impressed by Williams. I think Brown will make the better pro!
 
Its still up for debate who the best player to come out of last years draft is so I agree that is a little ridiculous for him to come to that conclusion already. As for Vince Young, I dont understand all the personal hatred towards him on this board. How about this for an idea...how about giving him a chance to play a down in this league before people start calling him the next Ryan Leaf and a bust? I've decided to stay silent on the subject for awhile now and let Vince prove the doubters wrong. Sure he's made some iffy decisions regarding his image through the media but has done nothing but produce on the field. 3 years down the road, Vince Young will be the best QB taken from this draft.

And im sorry but this quote right here is nothing short of hilarious. You are critiquing one of the greatest performances in college football history against what was regarded as one of the greatest teams in college football history. Please come with something better if you would like to make Vince look bad.

What is that based off? Did you watch that game? The USC defense is nothing like the NFL defenses. Vince will not be able to run away from guys like Jason Taylor and Shawn Merriman. I'm just saying I think he is the next Michael Vick who IMO is an absolutly terrible QB.

Did I watch the game? Are you kidding me. Im seriously doubting that you did if you think there were any flaws in his game that night. That performance was considered by many to be as close to flawless as you can get. And the fact that it was in the national championship against the number one team in the nation leaves no room for you to use that against him.
 
you guys shouldn't get so upset about what he says. His job as a writer and as a personality on cold pizza is to get people excited and upset so they will respond to what he has to say. Its simple journalism guys.

no cadillac was the better player but ronnie was till really good. cadillac won player of week several times and had 1000+ yards and ricky never won and also didnt get 100+ i know ronnie had to share with ricky but cadillac did get hurt and missed several games and still got a 1000+ yards. i also agree with him on vince the guy is like bush, never seen before talent that good at their respective positions. vince can run like vick and throw like mcnabb mark MY words, he will be a superstar for whoever gets this guy.
