Skylar Thompson positives

Skylar positives from the Jets game. He didn't turn the ball over, we won, he put his cleats on the right feet. Other than that the dude completely sucked and it was blatantly obvious to anyone with any football IQ what so ever. When you need a thread created for you that has "positive posts only" you know you suck and the elementary school fan club can't handle reality. The only way we win this game with Skylar at QB is if something clicks in his head and he stops playing like a scared little kid, because that is how he played against the Jets. I want to win, I don't dislike the kid at all, but I am being completely honest about how he has looked this whole season (not preseason) at QB. It has been horrible PERIOD, end of story.
I think you and AZ Stryker are one and the same. Or perhaps that drought in Arizona is as bad as it seems.

I think the 5th grade is over and has been for a while and the fact remains that Skylar's NFL QBing thus far has been hard to even watch. I hope that changes for the team's sake because they can't carry him against Buffalo like they did the Jets.

5th grade? As in your last year of education.....I get it. I'm just busting your chops. I understand your frustration but I disagree on how bad you think he played. Hopefully you will feel much better about him after Sundays game.

**** you. Take your negative take and shove it where the sun don’t shine
Think what you want. Anyone can check my history, I am a supporter of this team in a major way and I am in no way a negative poster.
This offense was strategically built for Tua. Bridgewater, Thompson and Glennon absolutely cannot do what he does. Without him on the field everything has to be watered down and the Bills know this. They will stack the box and dare them to beat them with their arm......which they will not be able to do. They aren't good, at all. I refuse to set myself up for the expectation of a miracle.
I love my team, but Tua was our only shot in this game. Trust me, my strategy is far better. I will be far less suicidal than you if we lose bc it's my full expectation, and I will be exceedingly more elated than you if a miracle happens.

EDIT: Oh.....and **** you too 😉

I don't know. With an O consisting of 700+ plays, there have to be some that match TB's/Sky's skill set. They don't have to do what TT does. They have to complete the plays they're given.
I agree TT is much better, but part of the job of HCs/OCs is put the backup in a position to excel. Fans saw this of other teams a few times this year.

They need to win the TOP and keep that high powered offense off the field. If McD and the dolphins can pull off what BB did to them last year they might have a chance.

So then by your account, our whole team sucks because there was a thread made specifically just for positive posts not to long ago

I'm clinging firmly to the "any given Sunday" mantra.

I suppose no pressure now as nobody expects us to even keep it close.

Hope they get creative with the playcalling.

And feel we will need a pick-6 and some big special team plays to stay in it.

Only positives I can come up with regarding Skylar:

1. He has two arms
2. He has two legs
3. He has a pulse

He made it into the NFL, so he has a lot more than that going for him!

I do appreciate your putting your shortcomings in player evaluations on the record. - LOL

Yes, I am laughing at you and your surprisingly "illustrative example" of knowing nothing about NFL football player evaluation and yet "presuming" it as the "holy grail" of all knowledge. and then putting it in writing for all to see.

It's not like this document was kept in a closet to hide it from the Feds. - LOL

Shore up that line, come up with some unseen plays and run the football, run Skylar some, make sure every pass play has some misdirection, get Hill and Waddle involved behind the LOS at times, some play action, get a turnover or two, strip the ball out, sack Allen with some disguised safety blitzes, X get a pick, Sanders covert on every opportunity, rough Allen once or twice when opportunity presents, play past the whistle, start quickly, no pre-snap penalties and run 1 punt for a long gainer. C’mon Skylar and the whole team - have the game of your life! Oh and Wilkins - DOMINATE. That’s all.
Piece of cake 🍰

The game is already over. Anyone who doesn't realize that is setting themselves up to be really really unhinged by the end of the 1st qtr. No Tua, no chance. I love the positive vibe by some but deep down every one of you knows.
I feel it deep down in my bones.... Im expecting a loss.

Brother, I hope so too. I want to win and want EVERY Dolphin to succeed! I played the position all be it in high school and have always studied the position and his product on the field has been really bad. There are some things you can fix, but basic ability to get past your first progression without starring them down for 2 seconds and failing to throw it when open, and taking give me runs when the DL over pursues and you have wide open lanes should be a given for any QB playing at this level, much less a playoff team. He stares at 1st read, doesn't throw it and panics and has bypassed a crap ton of yards by not tucking it and running. I thought it should be blatantly obvious to everyone, maybe it isn't.

I hope it clicks this week for the kid, I really do. What he has demonstrated thus far will end in major embarrassment if he doesn't dramatically improve his play against Buffalo.

ANY post that states only positive posts are funny to me. People are different though and I get that. For me an occasional good job is great, I would rather hear what I can improve on with simple straight forward language. Ear candy never helps you get better IMHO. I mean to me it is just as silly as someone posting only negative posts. There is a line somewhere in the middle of both and that is the point of discussion, even heated discussion that comes from a passionate place because of love for this team.

Sounds fair. I thought those posts were just ridiculous too because your basically alienating half the audience. And even then being critical of the team isnt necessarily being negaitive. But these guys just cant take it for some reason. Imagine if some made a thread and said "negative posts only"!!?? Haha
