After watching the last three weeks of football, I have to say I don't really think Henne is the main problem. I feel the lack of a pass rush even beats out the poor play of the right side of our OL. I came into this season believing our DL was our deepest position and the upgrade from Crowder and bringing JT back was only going to solidify an already stout unit.

I find myself waiting for our team to get after the opposing quarterbacks. Where is the pressure? Where are the effective blitz packages? Where is our speed off the edge or push up the middle? Maybe we need a change in philosophy because I don't see the benefit of our bland 3-4 hybrid.

He definitely isn't the main problem. He's simply a mediocre QB that can win some games if given enough support. Unfortunately, he's not given any. The reason Luck is being brought up is because mediocre doesn't cut it at that position in this league and the new coach will want his own guy. Those two things likely spell the end of Henne's run in Miami. He'll have a good career as a backup/journeyman starter.

Patriots went 14-2 last year with absolutely no pass rush. Why? They have an ok QB.

I couldn't agree more, but be prepared my friend......

this thread will be blasted with tons of "proof" as to why Henne is costing us games, and then you will see multiple posts take your thread and use it to continue their agenda to fire Sparano. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT THE LACK OF PASS RUSH BY OUR DEFENSIVE LINE! Not Sparano, Ireland or Ross, but it will be.........

i agree henne isnt the main problem, but when the game is on the line thats when he needs to step up. i agree that no pass rush, and the right side oline are the biggest problem. this coaching staff also doesnt utilize players to their strenght. for example bush, and gates. we all know bush isnt a between the tackle runner, just get the guy to the outside and creat mismatches with him in the passing game. and when it comes to gates use him like they did in the preseason, he was taking the top off the d. i just dont get it, we have weapons but this dumb *** coaching staff doesnt know how to use them

there is no doubt that the defense is sucking it up. they tightened up more vs. cleveland but just like henne, fell short. that is the teams whole story, fall short.

but I'll do you one better. Whats up with Carpenter? dude has been missing FG's since last year. he must be golfing alot or somethin.

we are not putting an entire game together with defense and offense. and please tell the rookie gates not to take a kickoff out of endzone when he is 7-8 yds deep in endzone! thats a sure loser everytime!

Agree that Henne not the only reason we are winless, but he isn't winning any games either! He is backup
Material!

Henne doesn't make players around him better. That is the problem.

Great QB's make EVERYONE around them much better. But with a guy like Henne, you need to fill a roster with great players around him -- 12 Pro Bowlers and 7 All-pro's just to have a chance at making a wildcard birth.

You're much better off going through the front door and getting the good QB to make everyone else better, instead of going backwards by going through the backdoor trying to fill a roster with great players around a mediocre-to-poor QB.

The Dolphins have a better "team" than the Colts aside from the QB position. But the Colts win and make super bowls and make the playoffs every year,,, and they will always beat this Dolphins team when they have Manning behind center. For that reason.

So yes, Henne is indeed the main problem and the Dolphins for once must acquire that Top-shelf Top-7 QB talent who makes others around him play much better than they really are.

The OP is right. The pass rush is one of the two reasons were are 0-3.
The other reason is poor OL play.

Only problem is... that that Top 7 QB doesn't exist though.
