Slightly Informative - Daunte's Knee

Thanks for posting this.

Vick looked fast and elusive -- but small.
If he can have the same impact as Drew Brees or even Doug Flutey -- who cares if he looks small.

The best line was by Nick Saban. "It's a date. We're not getting married."

I dont think this is anything new. He's been running and throwing for a while now, I believe. It's just he cant drop back and set, which is the important part.

Well, the new part is that he got good news from Andrews.

I agree, having heard it from the best surgeon in the country is always better thank some rumor from a reporter in Minny.

Here is Saban's quote on Culpepper:

“He has already participated in just about everything that we do in our offseason program. His straight-line running is fine. He’s throwing the ball. He’s dropping back. He runs the plays and does the handoffs. He wears a knee brace and he probably does it about ¾ speed, but we’re very pleased with his progress. He went back to Birmingham. Dr. Andrews gave him a, A+ grade in terms of where he was in his rehab. We’re just going to continue to progress with him. We can make no predictions about when he’ll be 100 percent and we certainly won’t put him in a situation that he can’t continue to make progress in based on how much we ask him to do.”

This thread is about Culpepper, Not Marcus Vick.

Of course everybody is staying positive, as they should, but don't get your hopes up expecting Daunte to be ready for the opener. Saban isn't going to rush him, and in my opinion will err on the side of extreme caution. I think it'll be Joey against Pitt in the opener.

Maybe, but to hear good things from the surgeon is promising.

The offseason is all about getting your hopes up. Don't piss on my parade!

I rather hearing news like this then getting reports saying "He is behind schedule". Sure he might not start week 1(Joey will start until he is ready), but he may not miss too many games.

Thanks for your update. Lighten up Roman I thought that was funny too and hasn't been posted anywhere else.

You don't play in the symphony do you. The Goose Creek Symphony. I love their remake of Gin and Juice.
