I hope some how, some way, we can win this game and then make our final game of the season mean something but the bottom line is we are what we are and there's no way of getting away from that. Our achillies heal is the secondary. Guess what, Houston has the second best passing attack, with arguably the best WR in the NFL. Throughout the course of the game this will become more apparent. With Houston down to their 3rd RB, our run defense line is the strength in this game so look for Houston to air it out. With our offense we can't stand toe to toe with a high scoring game. The best way to keep ourselves in this game defensively is to play more of a cover 2. Constantly have both safeties back to prevent any long bombs and to provide help for our two young CB's. I will flippin lose it if I see any of these safeties play in the box. Secondly do not bloody blitz, use three down lineman or four to apply pressure on the QB. I'm sure we can get enough pressure like this, working on a depleted houston offensive line. Besides moving the ball offensively, scoring some points and holding on to the football, these are the keys to winning this game. But for whatever reason, I see us doing none of this. Pasqualuoni's game planning has bee atrocious and obviously Sparano's too cause he's been accepting the defensive game plans from week to week and that has been our down fall this year.

i think we actually have a real good shot at winning. yes i understand that houstons strength is its passing attack, while our weakness is our secondary, but honestly we can double team johnson bc there is no owen daniels to worry about, and there running game dosent exsist.
andre johnson will make his plays no doubt about it, but if we can ''LIMIT'' him to a certain extent, i think we can win this game pretty solidly. if owen daniels was in, our secondary would get tourched even with double teaming johnson bc theyd just look for daniels, but without him, the texans offense in general hasnt been as explosive aside from johnson.
now we r talking about the dolphins here, and the dolphins find ways to make a game vs a college football team exciting till the last moment, but i do feel we will win this game and play for the wildcard spot the last week of the season.

Sad way to start a thread, if you have watched us play then you know we can beat anyone just as likely as we can lose to anyone. Slim chance Houston beats us with a beat up oline, 1 receiving threat, no run game and a average defense is more like it!!!
i hope paul p is gone after this season his defense scheme sucks.

Stats don't tell the whole story. I have to watch ever single one of that wretched teams games every year if I want to watch football on TV. That is a team that invents ways to lose, and, is in fact, full of losers.

Did Houston play Indy, NO, NE, SD, and teams like that? I think that should answer the question as to why their defensive stats are barely better.
We have played 4 of the top 5 passing offenses in the NFL, we have played 4 of the top 5 rushing offenses in the NFL. We have played 3 of the top 5 overall offenses in the NFL.
Houston has played NFL cell dwellers like Seattle, St louis, oakland, and the Titans when they were the worst team in the league.
This is why stats lie.
The jets are #1 defense overall, #1 pass defense, #8 rush defense, and #1 rushing team in the league, why are they 7-7? What would you think about the jets based on those stats if you didn't already know their record? Most people would think they are world beaters.
