One of the primary keys for the Miami Dolphins heading into the season was to get off to a good start. Just one of Miami’s first six opponents this year made the playoffs last year. With the schedule on paper looking to get tougher in the second half of the season, it was vital for the Dolphins to get off to a good start in order to get back to the playoffs. So far, they look nothing like a playoff team.

You guys ever get the feeling that they visit this site see what we are talking about and write the obvious.

2-2 looks like a winner to the start of the season at this point..................and believe it or not that would be a better start to the season than most years in Miami.

Seems hard to believe that 2-2 is a win but Miami is seldom 3-1 or 4-0 after 4 games.

2004: 0-4
2005: 2-2
2006: 1-3
2007: 0-4
2008: 2-2
2009: 1-3
2010: 2-2
2011: 0-4
2012: 1-3
2013: 3-1
2014: 2-2
2015: 1-3
2016: 1:3
2017: 2-2 or 1-3

Overall 16 of 56 (.286)

Prior to 2004 Miami had good season starts and consequently they were usually in the running for a playoff spot yearly.

I wonder if this is the result of camp and the fact it is so hot. Look, for years this team starts slow. I think in 2009 we started 2-0, but that's the only year I recall in recent times.

Amazing that at one point, Miami was working on reaching and breaking the record for most consecutive wins to start the season.
