Smarter Jersey to Buy?

Tough call. Both could be gone at the end of their contracts. Neither will hold out for an early renewal (at least I hope not) but Hartline could be the odd man out sooner than later with the way this WR group is headed and Wake may simply cost us too much money for a guy in the twilight of his career. But you are safe to wear either for the next 2 seasons at a minimum. Stating the obvious here but Tanny and Marino are can't miss jerseys for years to come.

I'm saving up to buy a Jimmy jersey but the #95 Dion Jordan jersey only comes in size XXXXXXL and #84 Egnew jersey could have a short shelf life but it's a collector item like the #14 Josh Heupel.

Here's the thing...IMHO.

It's a 100% individual choice. You know who your favorite players are, buy their jersey. Last thing you should consider is what other fans think of your choice in jersey...it's all about YOU, the fan.

I have a few hanging around for players that weren't around long, doesn't mean I throw the jersey out...still represents their time as a Dolphin, and represents the enjoyment I got from them playing with the Dolphins.

That said, everybody has their own method/reasons for buying a jersey...that's just my take.

Edit: To the direct point of the OP...I think they'll both be around about the same time, which will only be a few more years.

Marino jerseys were the first I ever purchased. The wife hates how many Marino's I already have. She just doesn't understand how the styles changed over his career, lol.

Totally agree. I still have my Ricky jerseys, Taylor, Thomas, and Pennington jerseys hanging around because of the good times I remember from watching them play. It's hard to say who I appreciate more Wake or Hartline. Both have been solid contributors and have spent their entire NFL careers with Miami, so far. I guess I should just pick up both because they're two of my favorite current players. Both very reliable players.

Totally understand. If I had to pick between the two, naturally for me, I'd say Wake (have 2 of his jerseys already, none of Hartline). My current most-treasured though, is my custom #31 Michael Thomas...which I ordered shortly after the 2nd Pats game last year :)
 
Wheeler....dude has a hell of a future in front of him....
