seems about as bad as the American public voting republican for 8 years, then switching to democrats when nothing changes. then after 8 more years, they switch back to republican. Nothing changes if we are an all or nothing team. We need Balance. we need coach that fits the gameplan and style of play to the type that beats the other team.

We need to be able to play all aspects of the game well to be able to adjust. Last year we could not stop the run, or run the ball when it mattered. We would run our same **** for better or worse. That is our weakness as I see it.
We need to be agnostic football, and the nation needs to be politically agnostic IMHO.

dlockz you just described a smash mouth running team. If you want to argue were we good enough at it then i understand. Our best offensive weapon was Ricky and Ronnie, and u can call it gimmick but it was a creative way of using our best offensive weapons.

It was a gimmick one that let teams know everytime that there was no chance of passing the ball. Very one dimensional and very easy to defense. Yes its good to change things up once in a while when you can catch teams off guard but basing our offense on that got us where we are today.
A smash mouth running team doesn't have to bring in a rb to play qb with no chance of keeping defense honest. I think Parcells might have been successful here if not for the early success of the wildcat that made the entire FO lose their mind. I said from the beginning that the wildcat would limit us and that teams would stop us more and more because of the lack of ability to make teams respect the pass.
