All the top QB's were making bad passes. Eli, Carson, Peyton, Favre, Rex, Mcnair, Green, Hasselback, ect.

So why was everyone attacking Daunte? Daunte only threw those 2 int's and bad passes? because, 1 he was preassured to make a play, 2 no help from the line, 3 didnt run the ball enough, 4 played one of the best D's in the leauge, and 5 horrible play calling.

Now please dont make judgements until after week 6.

true i mean look at tom brady, he was godawful everyone knows that week 1 is kind of like a lets see what we got game, and then week 2 usually is the adjustments and what you will likely play like

I hope everyone also realizes what I realized about 2-3 years ago:

Week 1 is the season's most meaningless week, and can "analysts" may be dead wrong, 100% right, or kind've in between when analyzing a team based on performance.

Nice post. I think it's a lot of people overreacting because we lost the game. A lot of good teams are 0-1, not just us. But you're right to say that it's way too soon to judge his performance, I think he'll rebound well vs. Buffalo, the same goes for the running game, Ronnie will have a big game.

How bout the fact that our QB hasnt played a game in 10 MONTHS, PLAYED THE CHAMPIONS STEELERS IN THIER HOUSE AND HAS A NEW TEAM

None of the QB you mentioned above have gone through what Daunte has gone through. And of all those Duante had the most passing yard and no running game. He did great in my opinion and can only get better.

My ignore list with all these daunte / ronnie brown haters are going to be packed this week with some of these idiotic posts on finheaven.

Agreee but Favre looks horrrible

Yeah, but that's not new news. Favre should never have even come back last year...

Daunte will be just fine folks. Come week 4 or 5, I think we are gonna see some serious numbers being put up by our Offense.

Look, I'm with you on the "get off of Culpepper" viewpoint.
It was his first game back off a major injury, against one of the best defenses in the league and playing behind a questionable OL.

Having said that, you don't have to embellish for him to defend him. He didn't just have 2 bad passes. The guy was off the mark, slow to make decisions and inaccurate throughout the entire game, not just when we were playing from behind.

He was clearly rusty and has improvements to make.
I'm tired of the Bench Culpepper threads just as much as you are but I also get a little annoyed at all the "Culpepper played great" threads trying to defend him.

You can say a player didn't play well without supporting the "zoo crowd" that's calling for his head. Again, the guy was rusty and hopefully he'll be able to get better every week.

Another great fact.

Trek all the QB's were like that today! Peyton almost threw 4 INT'S! Every QB was sloppy today.

I agree with ya.
Even the best have crappy weeks.

Charlie Batch had a career game against us.

As embarrassing as that is, it's no argument for Batch being an elite QB in the league. Shiznit happens.

Everyone calling for Culpepper's head are wasting their time anyway, he'd have to stink it up really good through at least the first 8 games before I think they'd even consier benching him for Harrington IMO.
