Ok after one year, what do we think about Ted Ginn Jr. Also what do you think this season will be like for him???

I think he has done good he is one of the top 10 return men in the NFL and I think next year he will be a very good wide reciver.

I think if you put a good O-Line infront of a good QB and give the guy time to get down field and get some seperation that he's going to be a monster on crossing patterns and such.

i think he will be our #1 WR and will be good at it to i really like the guy

I don't see him being any kind of threat UNLESS we get a true # 1 receiver across from him. He will always need to be hit in stride or he isn't gaining many YAC. He doesn't juke people and he never even came close to breaking a tackle after the catch. I am still glad he is on the team and think he will become a serious deep threat if we ever get a QB that can make the throw.

ginn has great potential all he needs is a real qb to throw to him

I thought he progressed really nicely for a rookie. I really didn't expect anything from him at WR, so I was very impressed by his hands, and even a bit by his route running. He still needs to bulk up and work on being more elusive in tight space, but he is off to a decent start there considering how spotty the QB play was. He just missed having at least 3 more receiving TD's, be it because of overthrows or whatever.

I was not impressed early on with his returns at all. He looked beyond tentative, and even though he did have a kickoff return for 6 against Philly, and another two called back on stupid penalties, I just didn't see any consistency. I don't expect him to bust one every time he touches the ball, but so many times he would almost just go down on his own when a defender came within reach. This is where hopefully he can also become a bit more shifty instead of being just a straight line burner.

The potential is definitely there with the guy, but so far, I would say he surpassed my expectations at WR, but fell a little short of them in the return game.

He regressed at the end of the season. Not #9 material RECEIVER wise IMO. As a return man he's fine, but I still don't think you draft a returner at #9.

not too many things frustrated me more about last season (and as you all know, there was plenty) than "offensive guru" cam not trying to get the ball to ginn much more often. let's not even talk about getting him the ball deep. i know some of that was on the QB and dictated by the pass protection, but i'd have preferred many more passes in ginn's direction.

I think he's done pretty good for his rookie year, and correct me if I'm wrong, but he would have had 3 or 4 kickoff return TD's if not for the penalties on the plays.

His ability is limited by the QB play, and playcalling in general, as some other members have stated earlier.

At this point, I don't care about the circus-like Chambers type catches, as long as he holds onto the ball.

Was he worth the #9 pick? I think it's too early to tell - we should find that answer at the end of the next season. Just my two cents.

I think he has done good he is one of the top 10 return men in the NFL and I think next year he will be a very good wide reciver.

Lets hope he can be as good as Santana Moss. SM wasn't great coming out of college as a WR, but he improved every year. Lets hope that TG follows in that fashion.

I think he did good as a reciever, rather poor as a returner, seemed rather gunshy on returns. Don't know wether that was due to coaching or not so it's kind of hard to say at this point. I think he will definitely be an asset to this team in the future but it really doesn't seem he was worthy of the 9th pick overall at this point. Hopefully that changes next season with some better coaching!

I think Ginn did quite well as a rookie WR. He made nice progress throughout the season as well. As a returner i think he could use some work but i was pleasantly surprised by his hands and WR skills.

As much as Cam hyped him as a returner I think overall he played better as a WR than I expected and not quite as good as I expected as a return man.

I don't think he will ever be great. He may have a great game here and there and could even have a "nice" carrier. But that's not really what you asked.

Next year he will become more apart of the offense but still will be just about average.
