Ok there was a voicemail. But does the voicemail lose credibility based on eye-witness testimony of the Martin-Incognito relationship? Moreover, the testimony from Pouncy that Martin has thought about quitting? All an NFL investigator is going to do is interview all the players, which seems to be in favor of Incognito anyway. For a team desperate at OL, one of these guys should be coming back. If the investigation comes back and says this was in isolated incident and that the worst occurrence was the voicemail, then Miami doesn't need a knee-jerk reaction based on other players' behaviors in other organizations.
What matters is how much this took from our preparation this week. The team is 4-4, and with a short road trip this week, and back-to-back home games, has the proverbial "chance to make a run" in November. They are running the ball better and the defense is getting healthy.
I hope the team can rally around this. Miami was never really in the spotlight, now they are. The nation now looks at this team as a bunch of thugs and villains, and this team could hopefully can be extra motivated and focused to play well under the spotlight.
