Vontae could be a head scratcher and I could see an argument either way, however as far as BM was concerned, he went to the only team he wanted to play for, and if we didn't trade him, i'd be willing to bet he would've held out and demanded a trade.

For whatever reason, those players never fed into the leadership role on our team. It hurt more to lose a team leader like Reggie Bush, who I doubt Incognito would have had the balls to disrespect. Jake Long and Karlos Dansby are two other players that despite their level of play, handled the leadership role better than the players you mentioned, as well as any on the current roster.

Kinda wish Tannehill had the balls to get everything under control. He figures if he stays quiet, he might avoid having to buy 5 extra large wave runners.

Have you never heard of herd mentality? All it takes is 1 passionate outspoken pea-brain to incite other like minded individuals to God knows what. Case in point; the recent Gov't shutdown & Mike Lee (Utah's Jr Senator) come to mind.

I still hate the Marshall thing, especially watching MNF tonight (although I have no interest in hijacking your thread). That said, it seems to me they've already decided that they are going to release Cog, just waiting long enough to save the $1.7 million or so instead of cutting him today.

So, in short NO there is no hypocrisy, they're washing their hands of him pretty damn quickly if you ask me.

If anything this tells me Philbin truly didn't know, if there was anything even to know, and if you watch the players interviews today it becomes apparent there was no sign of this even among the players. And once Philbin heard the voicemail. Bam, suspension. That sounds consistent to me, not hypocritical.

Vontae will never have the dedication or mindset to live up to his considerable talent. He'll have his good days, like the game against Denver, but the next contract he signs is going to be a disappointment for the Colts or some other club.

As for Marshall, that trade really sucked for the Dolphins, but I'm not sure there was a choice. He would have been unhappy staying here and likely would undermine the confidence of Tannehill or any other young QB. Just like Oakland and Randy Moss...the Raiders knew they were getting fleeced, but what was the alternative?

The problem with the Dolphins is organizational, top to bottom. We do not have a coherent and supportive power structure to handle these issues when they come up. People are out to save their own skin and will throw others under the bus to do so.
