So far is this draft better than all Wanny's Draft...

On paper, yes, this draft was awsome. Its all in do time whether or not they picks pan out or not. Im hopeing they do!

Hey...watch it...if you combine Wanny's draft's....that does give you Chambers and McMike....

Leaps and bounds better than any of Wanny's drafts. On paper. We'll know for sure when they strap them on. Our defense just got vicious! Two very intense players. It's gonna be fun times.

True. The sad thing is 2 good players in 4 years or was it 5 years?? Let the SABAN era begin!!!

I think it's the best draft we've had in a long time so far. I hope it continues tomorrow. I don't feel so bad now that we couldn't acquire more picks.

Wanny would have picked Clarrett at number 2.

I disagree. He would try and trade up with SF, and then nab him.

Think of the possibilities next year when some of the older talent quite possibly get traded. We lack picks this year....I have a feeling next year it will be even better! More picks and Saban will still know the talent.

that old coach of mia would not have done that!!!!!!

he whould of just traded all of the picks away for third string players who suck.

maybe i'm the only dissenter here, but i liked the #2 overall pick, but didn't know/care for the rest.

Matt Roth plays a position we already have a perennial pro-bowler at, and TWO free agents we just signed at. Was he the BPA or something? we still had other holes, some of which a lot more crucial than DE (which we just severely satisfied in FA). I was kind miffed we didn't go DB or OL with that pick, but whatever.

then the crowder guy in the 3rd... i've never heard of him. Never saw him on any mock drafts for us. yet we draft him and all of sudden everyone on here is saying he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. now, not trying to knock the guy, as i've never heard of him and can't rightly say what he'll be like, but come on guys... no one had him on any mocks... i am glad we got a LB, because with seau about to retire and zach getting older and more expensive (and eddie moore being injured), its good we add depth there. so i guess as long as we get another OL and a DB at some point in the draft, i'd be happy.

right now i'm on the fence. Just because he's Nick Saban doesn't mean every pick he will make will be great. The ronnie brown pick i like - honestly i thought we were going to trade down, but it will be great to have a franchise back (that doesn't freak out and smoke weed). The Crowder pick i am on the fence on (because i have never heard of him), and the Roth pick i honestly don't like at all...

I disagree wholeheartedly. The major needs for this team are on OFFENSE, not DEFENSE. If Feeley falls on his face again, who's gonna replace him, f'n Frerotte? Is this a joke or what? We need a QB, if only to push Feeley. And who the hell wants the same OLine from last year playing this year?

Unless we get a QB, this draft is a waste. DE is not a need right now. LB may be a little need, but is not a drastic need.

Oh well, I guess we'll wait until tomorrow to see whom we get: McPherson (outside the character issue, size may be an even bigger one, as I saw somewhere he's only 180 lbs dripping wet), LeFors (only 6 feet), Orton (who fell apart when he started getting attention), Orlovsky (who threw away his Heisman hopes in a crappy game vs. Duke, which he was lucky to win b/c of a Matt Brooks shtoink).
