Im so sick of hearing of how hot and humid it is in Miami. Let me give you a list of places that are just as hot and sticky if not more.

Houston Texas

Anywhere in Louisiana

Dallas Texas

Phoenix

CAROLINA

Philly and New York in September.

Im glad it gets other teams worried but I dont like that it takes away from the strenght of the Miami Dolphins as a team. Dont blame the Weather blame the "Preassure" baby.

You're kidding right? Charlotte,NY,Philly, and Phoenix do not have the humidity that Miami has.

I can attest to that. It is so humid in Minnesota in August. You wouldn't believe it. I think it does make a huge difference though. Just ask Ted Washington, I remember when he couldn't even come out on to the field.

It’s not just the temperature; you have to consider the humidity. The Dolphins are conditioned to a hot and humid environment which is most extreme in the first month of the season. That is why we have such a great record at home in September. I think were like 23-4 at home since 1990. You could definitely see the advantage in our home game versus the Broncos. Miami is the most miserable place on the planet to play football in September.

Believe me, I made my first trip to Miami in September last year and it was brutal. I haven't felt anything like that before. The humidity was crazy, and it never gets that bad up here in Pennsylvania. I usually go to Dolphins games in Miami during December, and it is a huge difference compared to September. If you are not used to it, it does become a slight advantage.

Hopefully Tampa in October isn't that bad.

having lived in both the northeast and florida, i can shed a little light.

the strength of the sun in florida...its a whole 'nother ballgame

though many in florida do not believe it, for a single day, it gets hotter in the northeast- over 100. it is also just as humid (just not every day)

the difference however, is that by now, the north has cooled off while south florida is still very hot.

the last few days it felt cool out. i look at the weather channel and it says its 87*

Dude Miami is like no other hot city in this country. I promise you it is honestly a real situation for the visiting team no matter where their homes are.

I live in Orlando and I can't stand the difference from Orlando to Miami now. I lived 24-years in Miami before moving to Orlando.

Miami is just hot!

I do not goto Tampa a lot, but when I have it didn't seem any warmer as far as humidity than Orlando.

i think orlando is hotter. plus i get a sea breeze here :goof:

Philly and New York in September.

It's sticky up here in the north east in June-July-August but very rarely in September. If I remember correctly there were only 2 really hot humid days this month.

Miami is absolutely brutal, but at least you get some variety, the dependable late afternoon showers and cloud cover. I travel to the northeast every summer and this year was the worst, 90+ degrees with stifling humidity day after day, even in a normally temperate area like the Adirondacks. The reason I leave every summer is the 115 furnace type heat of Las Vegas. Dry heat my flat ***. Others can take it but not me. No change in the sky for months and unbearable dull heat. Phoenix is typically a couple of degrees hotter than here.

Orlando is definitely hotter than S. FL.
No sea air to cool it off.

Played for UCF up there and it was hell.

As far as the rest of the city's I only agree with the original poster on Dallas and Houston.

If any of you have ever gone to a day game in Texas stadium you'd know it's the worst place on earth to be.
Dallas gets high 90's sometimes into the 100's with humidity. That half dome stadium traps all the heat inside, it's like being a dog trapped in a car with no air during mid summer. :shakeno:

Temp wise yes Orlando is often hotter. It however rarely has the same kind of humidity. We were talking about Miami correct? I just assumed everyone understood the situation Miami has with humidity almost everyday down there.

You think Orlando has more humidity than Miami?

I do believe that is what makes Miami 2nd to none as far as how it feels temp wise.
