Like most of you, I wanted Drew Brees to come to Miami....but then i started thinking...Drew Brees is a greedy young QB whos career, because of his shoulder, could be over with just one bad hit. Drew Brees is not worth the amount of money he has...he has proved nothing. He was on a team that was not carried by him, that team was carried by Ladanian Tomlinson. When LT started crumbling in the last few games of the season, so did the rest of the team. If Brees came to Miami he wouldnt have a back like LT, he would have a 2nd year RB in Ronnie Brown, with only one season of experience and the potential to become a great back. In my opinion, after thinking about it...I would rather have a QB who wants to be here because he wants to play on the team, not for the money. I would rather have a QB who was the 2nd and 3rd best QB in the league about 2-3 seasons ago...I would also rather have a QB who can carry the team if he needs to just like he carried the Vikings last season and just missed the playoffs when it really came down to it. Culpepper worked under Linehan and we still have Linehan's system..so he knows the offense already...so in my opinion...take it or leave it...Culpepper was the best QB that we could have possibly picked up and I am proud to have him as our QB and even if you disagree...I bet you wont when we make the playoffs next year....
