So Henne's still not god enough for the haters?

So apparently one decent game wipes out two years of mediocre play? No, he's still an average quarterback who still can't consistently throw a touch pass. And at the end of the day we still only had 17 points on the board, halfway thru the 4th. If you're cotent with that, you're content with being mediocre as well.

Don't forgot that 7 of the 17 points came on a drive that started from the 10.

Henne made monumental strides last night! Just has to learn to use Marshall size on the goal to go throws and toss up jump balls it is either a TD or a PI! Now all we need to see from him is consistent play! I loved the leadership he showed last night!

IMO, this is the nature of post I'd welcome from a Henne skeptic who's not, however, an inbred, agenda-driven hater. If you want to pile on him when he does crappy, that's fine and dandy just so long as you also give credit where and when it's due, even if it's to your great surprise.

If a hater can't even do that, then it speaks more volumes about their subjectivity than it says anything about Henne, and IMO impugns any credibility they may claim to have.

The TOTAL lack of a pass rush really concerns me. There were times when Brady could have stopped to tie his shoe and still gotten the pass away.

I haven't seen anybody blaming Henne for this loss. There has been some criticisms, but nobody blaming him. I'm sure there is one person out there who thinks Henne cost us the game, but that guy is not worth talking about. Vaark for all your talk of the Henne haters and there Pavlovian response you seem to do the same thing in defense. You are calling people out who haven't said anything about him costing us the game. Only a tiny group of people are mad at Henne after that game and those people are dumb don't worry about them.

But I tell ya, anybody looking to scapegoat Henne as the reason we lost last night absolutely need to take that **** elsewhere . . . because this defense laid down last night. They weren't prepared, this dominant dline let this new Pats oline dominate them. They couldnt rush Brady, the secondary had an awful night . . . every last member of the secondary played bad. Our 2 inside guys had bad nights. Misi was AWOL. Cam Wake was the only person playing decent, and he was getting handled by a rookie most of the night.

Gut check time for this defense next week against the Texans . . . they can make all of it go away by standing up and locking down that high powered offense. I hope Mike Nolan has a good gameplan, because he was manhandled this week.

Okay. He is not horrible. he is AVERAGE, good for a 7-9 season, he will win games for you but not enough to push us over the edge. if you have been paying any attention to the NFL in o i dont know the last decade. you need an ELITE QB to go anywhere. Henne doesnt suck because he cant throw or looks robotic. he sucks because he isnt good enough to win us anything and he doesnt suck enough to put us in the Luck lottery
(BTW i dont want to hear about the Dilfer Ravens, that is the exception that proves the rule. it will never happen again)

IMO, the hard-wired haters who are so invested in their agenda being right, that they're unwilling to give even begrudging credit to Henne where its obviously due, says a helluva lot more about them, their own lack of objectivity and the credibility of their subsequent posts than it says about Henne. :idk:

It's funny to me how much people LOVE to bang on Haters or Homers... Without examining WHY Henne polarizes the fanbase so much... Clearly he HAS the tools and when you watch games like last night it is hard not to be excited, but his issue is CONSISTENCY... Which is what is precisely so FRUSTRATING... if he plays that like through the first four... Color me excited!!!!

But, he is a hard thrower and will have trouble any time he can't muscle it in... Those touch fades in the end zone ... OUCH. Clearly not a strong suit and we need to adapt... never thought I'd say it but we missed Polite on that 4th and goal from the 0.5 yard... he was MONEY.

but I will be the first to admit it sure was nice to see our Offense move in big chunk yards... And which Fasano was that???? A brother??? Cousin??? Wow... Dude came to play last night.

It was one game but a heckuva start... And if he can ever become automatic in the red zone... We might just make some noise. Good outing for Henne!!! :thumbup:
