So Henne's still not god enough for the haters?

okay. He is not horrible. He is average, good for a 7-9 season, he will win games for you but not enough to push us over the edge. If you have been paying any attention to the nfl in o i dont know the last decade. You need an elite qb to go anywhere. Henne doesnt suck because he cant throw or looks robotic. He sucks because he isnt good enough to win us anything and he doesnt suck enough to put us in the luck lottery
(btw i dont want to hear about the dilfer ravens, that is the exception that proves the rule. It will never happen again)

lmao

Only a fanbase as stupid as the Dolphins would trash a 400 yard passing performance.

Good lord nobody is trashing it! Stop with the ridiculous statements. Not just you obviously but everyone.

you got me all wrong. I have never been the type that says I told you so. For the record, I wanted us to trade for Orton cause I was not sold on Henne. Like I said before, he needs to show he can be good in more than just one game. All I was trying to say is that people who "hate" Henne were trying to find something wrong with him in a game he had over 400 yards passing and accounted for 3 TD's.Give the guy his due is all I'm saying. He was our best player last night and there's nothing wrong with admiting that. BTW, I don't believe people on here really hate Henne. They just want to be right so bad that they will find something wrong with him no matter how good he plays in any given game. In the end this thread should never be necessary as we should ALL be rooting for our QB to play good and we should ALL be happy when he does!!

Ozzy rules!!

Ahh I see. You would think people wouldn't even try to nitpick Henne's miscues in the redzone. The defense should have everyone's full and undivided attention.

Go Chad! But seriously Hartline ****ed up on that fade. He jumped way too early and if he would've held off he may have had a chance. He was coming down and the ball was right over his head.

OK.

First of all, I dont recall reading anyone outright bashing Henne for his performance last night, so no offense but I got to be put in the 'camp' then of people that think your just trying to stir up crap.

#1. The offense with Henne at QB scored 10 points last night. Thats a problem. Now, its not all Henne's fault obviously, but as the QB AKA GENERAL of the offense, he needs to get it in the endzone. The defense cant spot him on the 8 yard line everytime.

#2. Which brings me to my next point. The defense was really the one that got the other 7 to put it at 17. Granted, Henne had an awesome bullet throw to get the TD (great job there) , but again, that was due to Odricks big butt running out of gas and not being able to rumble in the endzone.

#3. That third score, the game was basically out of reach at that point. BB was already in his 'whatever' mode and as we saw, it didnt make a difference other than pad stats and not make the score seem so bad.

Those things being said, Henne did have moments of god damn BRILLIANCE LAST NIGHT. FREAKING BRILLIANCE. However, as I did say before, not being able to get this offense into the endzone is a HUGE problem. Having said that, the fact that it seems like getting those last 10 yards is the biggest issue then we have come along pretty well from previous seasons. Still frusterating to settle for a FG or no score at all, but the fact that the offense moved the way it did was good news. Now let me highlight this in bold...HENNE WAS NOT THE REASON WE LOST this game. Period. However, can anyone suggest that scoring those TDs (instead of a FG or NOTHING) wouldn't of changed the game at those specific points? If we get in the endzone, the game changes. Sure, you can blame the play calling to an extent, but if the ball is put in Henne's hands (or whomever the hell is at QB) at the 10 yard line and dont get in the endzone, thats not a good thing.

The issue I take is when people blindly support or trash a guy. Henne had a good game last night, hell great even. But he wasnt perfect and faultless and he sure as hell isnt a top 5 QB in this league (yet?). He played the game like he has played it before and why most of you that support him end up supporting him the way you do. This isnt the first time he's had a game like this, its not a hallelujah moment. Like I alluded to last night, I love the hypocrisy of people who blindly man crush a guy and yet, back in the day when we had guys like Fiedler throwing the ball, and we were WINNING games, they were out in full force to tear them down saying we needed to upgrade.

All in all, I liked what I saw. Pisses me off we didnt get into the endzone. That theme is still recurring after all of this time and having a new OC. Looking forward to (hopefully) seeing that issue finally addressed.

I think Daboll ****ed up worse on that fade by calling it to Hartline and not MArshall

What a bunch of crap!! If Henne had been able to even throw for a lousy 600 yards or so we would have had a chance!!! 416 yards??? Only two TDs and he still ONLY ran for one TD??? I can't believe this! Henne sucks, we suck, Henne sucks, we suck, Henne sucks, you suck, I suck......

Man, you forgot about needing at least 6 TDs and a measly 80% completion percentage. Lousy outing last night.

Henne still blow's! No team is afraid of him. He cannot win you a game if you need him too. Oh but he can sure as hell look AWESOME loosing a game!

Spell much? Go back and get your GED, troll.

The more I think about it the more I think that they (Marshall, and Hartline) were both running fades and Marshall was the number 1 but there was a safety over the top, so he went to Hartline with the 1 on 1.

LMAO - here is a hater posturing as someone who is reasonable - D had the O pinned down all game - fact is the D made the O play predictably

I saw a new player last night that still has work to do but has shown with a new OC he CAN improve his play. Give him more than one game.

He's had 30+ games, not just 1

So apparently one decent game wipes out two years of mediocre play? No, he's still an average quarterback who still can't consistently throw a touch pass. And at the end of the day we still only had 17 points on the board, halfway thru the 4th. If you're cotent with that, you're content with being mediocre as well.

Well said, Sir.
