So Henne's still not god enough for the haters?

By this philosophy, Matt Ryan isn't good enough either. Damn, alot of teams need to visit the "elite QB" tree and find something ripe for the pickings. Eli Manning won a damn Super Bowl man . . . can we let the season finish. Henne looked seasoned out there, yea not elite, but there are only a handful of QB's that are elite in this league . . . there are 32 teams . . . everybody isn't going to have an elite QB.

Eli Manning > Chad Henne... its not even close

It says a lot about Henne (and how terribly mediocre he has been in his career) that with one very good performance, the Henne-lovers think he is magically the answer. When you're use to dating "3's" and a "5" strolls along, she's going to seem like a super model because youre accustomed to crap.

I'm glad he has shown improvement, but its just one game. There have been a lot more instances of him showing that he doesn't have what it takes than of him showing the opposite. I'll temper my excitement for now.

People around here are optimistic about Henne not because he had 1 good game, but what he did in that game. He was a new QB out there, he showed leadership, mobility, and just played great ball out there.

He threw 30 for 49 out there for 415 yards, and if you're still not happy with that I dont know what to tell ya, give credit where its do.

You take the good with the bad, I suppose. He's had a handful of good games in his career, he's had several more poor games though. He's always had a good completion percentage because he likes to check down often and when he cant make a decision (which is often), he just gets sacked. He was on the money last night thought, I'll give him that.

I'll give him credit for having a good game last night. Its good see (finally). But lets say he has a bad game against the Texans. What then? It'll be "he's allowed to have a bad game" or "stop hating". Lets be realistic, he had one good game. If he can play this way on a consistent basis (more than just 1 or 2 games) I'll truly give him credit.

I think at some point you've got to lay some of the bad on Henning, not just the playcalling but the stunt of growth he had put on Henne, I think Daboll is really helping him this year and Henne is helping himself by truly becoming a leader and correcting his mistakes.

Dabolls offense is one of the things that help Henne with his decision making, make a quick throw or a swing pass and get Henne confidence and then just let Henne go and play, I saw Henne make quite a few audibles and the plays he called worked quite well.

If he has a bad game against the Texans then he'll get some criticism from me, not "BENCH HENNE NOW!" or anything but some criticism. And I think a lot of Dolphin fans who don't have an agenda will admittedly say he had a bad game, but it won't mean he's inconsistent, Houston has a great defense and has greatly improved especially with Cushing coming back and signing Jonathan Joseph.

True, Henning was atrocious, but as bad as his play calling was its not like Daboll is the best Offensive mind in the league. Daboll's offense looked horrible last year because he had bad QB's to work with, and although the jury is still out on Henne, a team is only as good as its QB play. I'm fine with Henne getting the entire year this year to prove what he has, but if I had to bet I would bet that he's not the fins starting QB next year. Hope I'm wrong and that he comes into his own. We shall see. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the "haters" have better/more reasons to hate than the "henne homers" have in support of him.

yeah, im sure you will be tempered by week six too. he faced a tough blitzing new england team. He did very well. Can anyone give him some creditz? That QB draw was f'n beautiful! Taking off running beautiful! Hitting Hartline in back of endzone f'n beautiful!

Is there room for improvement? of course, its only week one of the NFL in our new offense for crying out loud!

What a bunch of crap!! If Henne had been able to even throw for a lousy 600 yards or so we would have had a chance!!! 416 yards??? Only two TDs and he still ONLY ran for one TD??? I can't believe this! Henne sucks, we suck, Henne sucks, we suck, Henne sucks, you suck, I suck......

wondering if she sucks...

Henne made monumental strides last night! Just has to learn to use Marshall size on the goal to go throws and toss up jump balls it is either a TD or a PI! Now all we need to see from him is consistent play! I loved the leadership he showed last night!

he did, problem is, marshall is doing alot of dancing at LOS. He needs to run his route where the ball is going to be, not try to dance for a half second. the blitz is coming Brandon!!!!

The Pats D is not as good as you're stating. I did give him some creditz(sp?). He was the teams leading rusher... there's something wrong with that and I don't think you should expect this on a regular basis. Besides, youre conveniently mentioning the highlight plays he made. How about him overthrowing B. Marshall in the endzone, and not being very redzone efficient in general? How about Fasano keeping the first drive alive with an amazing catch?

Well I think he'll do just fine and will be an improving QB this year but thats just my opinion. And I think everything negative to say about Henne needs to be thrown out the door, its a new season and so far, homers have the advantage :)

you could look at it this way. Henne has looked a hell of a lot better than matty ryan. apparently that dude is on ice.

Our team is 0-1... no one has the advantage

I just want to win, and I have every right to question the QB play on this team for the last several seasons. :)

Yes. I know this from personal experience.

Back on topic, either way, at least QB may not be an major issue this year. The jury is still out on if Henne pulls a fourth season Brees turn-around or only ends up being an average QB but at least with one game down he played far and above what we saw for most of last season. Wasn't perfect but was a huge step in the right direction.

I think Daboll gets it, you'll have more success if you play to the QB's strengths. It's a new scheme and new playbook and as the season progresses I think we are going to be surprised with a lot of stuff we haven't seen in Miami in a long long time.

I can't remember the last time Miami had a pass first attacking offense that was successful. The last few years have been run run run. Saban was fairly balanced with Ferotte and Camerons team was a bad joke. Before that, Pornstahce rode Ricky into retirement.

Yeah, you can question the Qb play on this team for the last several seasons to say he sucked the last several seasons, but thats the past and this is the present and using past stats for leverage this season is just
plain out of context.

Hey I'm right with you, were 0-1 and I'm not happy but Henne is not the one to blame this year so far, last years? yeah, but so far not this year.
