so horry got 2 games, why didnt baron davis get any?

The NBA is very...unbalanced, shall we say? In handing out these punishments. Bowen probably should have been suspended for his knee to Nash's groin. Horry certainly deserves to be suspended. He certainly had intent but to suspend Amare and Diaw while letting Duncan slide (he came off the bench in the second quarter when he thought an altercation was about to happen) shows tremendous inconsistancies. And I am rooting for the Spurs.

Baron should be suspended as well, but I guess the NBA feels that the most exciting player in these playoffs should be on the floor when his team goes down.

Honestly though, I think NBA is trying very hard not to have series decided by players who are suspended. Horry had to be suspended because of what he did, but I think what Horry did was very smart. He knew that Nash is the leader and knows that his players would come to his defense. He sacrificed himself and at the same time, took out Stoudemire for a game too.

lol, you cant possibly believe that is true. ?

Why not? What's more likely:

A. Horry, with a well-earned reputation as a cool customer at playoff time, with 6 NBA championship rings, suddenly flies off the handle in the midst of a Western Conference semifinal against a team that's not particularly physical.

B. Horry, with a well-earned reputation as a heady player, realizes the Suns are frustrated as hell at the insanely bad officiating in this series, and knows it might just take one incident to send them past the boiling point.

I am perfectly willing to believe B.

As a side note, Tony Stewart was on the right track, he just had the wrong sport. I'm not quite ready to believe that NBA officiating is deliberately biased, but it's getting harder and harder to disprove. The only thing I can think of at this point to disprove the theory that NBA officiating is biased is that the NBA would surely rather see the entertaining, telegenic, relatively big market Suns advancing at the expense of the stodgy, boring, small market Spurs. That just leaves blatant incompetence as a reasonable explanation for the officiating in this series.

Incidentally, the NBA was right to suspend Diaw and Stoudemire for a game. That's the rule; you can't change it now. But they screwed up big time in letting things get to this point. The officiating in this series (and really, in much of the playoffs) has been abysmal, and it was just a matter of time before something blew up. If the NBA is smart, they're going to tell the refs to give the Suns every single borderline call in Game 5 to try and even things out. This, of course, would mean Bruce Bowen would foul out in about 8 minutes, which is fine by me.

Its possible. Horry is a VERY smart player. Knowing the situation, the time left and who was on (and off) the court, I would put some merit into it.

lol, nash was trying to run past him without getting fouled, horry fouled him, nothing else.

That was a flop. Sorry. Nash got tossed into the freak table.

I have two people sitting with me who think you're insane, and you know I like you c2c.

did you not see the game though? he caught him pretty decent in the side of the head...he may have flopped, but he still was deliberately elbowed in the head. i dont think he should be suspended, but i also dont think horry should get suspended.

or C. Nash was trying to flash by him without getting fouled, and Horry being a well-earned reputation as a cool customer at playoff time, fouled him like he should. not meaning to foul him that hard obviously. you guys are definitely making it much much more then it is.

I was drunk at that point in the game

Just from that clip it looked a lot less bad than getting tossed into the table and hitting your head on the table. Suprised it wasn't talked about more.

Why did Horry get 2 games for that, and Raja Bell got 1 for a clothesline?

Because Bell clotheslined the league's most hated, and Horry owned Material Boy.

Simply put; favoritism at it's best right there. Favoritism. Favoritism. Favoritism.

Once again, I sincerely wish Phoenix the worst, basketball wise from here on out. :rolleyes2

Owned huh.....

Now I don't necessarily disagree with you about the time of the suspensions

You saying Horry owned Nash says a lot about yourself

Oh, really? Let me guess - it says that I'm a bad person, huh? Draw the red flag on KiNG!!!!!!

Nah.. I'm a fan of the older school of basketball where that is a great hard foul. I'm not Stu Jackson, so it's not my problem. As long as Nash didn't get hurt, I thought it was pretty hilarious. I mean, did you say the same to people who laughed at Kobe last year? I'd say the same thing if one of my guys got tossed to the deck, as long as nobody got hurt. This is basketball. Don't you play football or whatever, unless you failed at it? This isn't Golf. These are grown *** men.

Now if you'd like to get personal, that's a completely different story. Need a tissue? :boohoo:

 I think you misunderstood me. You were talking about favoritism, and then show the same bias that you were just blasting is all. ;)

Now look at how far you took a little phrase sent you. I think you might be the one who needs the tissue

and yeah I still play ball, and was a state wrestler in high school so I know a little bit about toughness :)

Didn't I already say that I agreed with you in terms of the length of suspensions?

Your logic is twisted bro
