So, how are going to cover owen Daniels and Andre Johnson?

we're not.

Welcome to 0-2 and the beginning of the eventful downward spiral to this dolphins season. Another losing one, and it will be worse than the last 2 years. Last night was just a small sample of how ugly this season will be.

poorly coached and a poorly built team,, That is about to totally implode this year for the lame duck head coach and the GM that lacks any sense or foresight.

Goodbye Tony and Irish

Make sure Tom Brady isn't throwing to them.

It will be another shoot out. However we are going to have to get pressure and force a few turnovers or we lost before we started. Johnson is too big and talented of a wideout for vontae to shut down on every play. Look for Houston to copy the same formula as New England and if we can't stop Daniels, it's going to be a very long day.

I see Daniels being a bigger threat than Andre. Despite Vontae being in everyone's dog house on here, he is a damn good CB and showed that by holding Ochocinco to one catch the whole night! As long as he doesn't cramp up, I think he won't let Andre score more than 1 TD on him (that just shows how good Andre Johnson is)

its gonna be tough no doubt...but maybe i'm hoping that since the texans don't have a elite slot wr like welker who destroyed us we may have some more success this week...but they're d's improved also so ehhh...

0-2 here we come...and then 5 out of the next 6 on the road i believe...bad news

Well the good news is they only have one TE to worry about and even he isnt what the Pats can throw at you. My best solution is to mirror Johnson with Smith and hope Burnett or Dansby can cover Daniels. Texans run a much more conventional offense so we shouldnt have to worry about playing our nickle (which sucks) all game. We shouldnt have to worry about Sapp being matched up on a TE and hopefully we dont have to worry about Reshad "fan favorite of those who dont know any better" Jones starting either. I'm not so sure the Texans dont run all over us though. I think we match up better against the Texans in the passing game though. The bigger question might be, how do we block Williams with Colombo? This will probably be a game where Fasano is used as a blocker an awful lot.

Smith and Davis arent the problem, it's the rest of the secondary that blows. The Pats starting WR didnt do much of anything against us, yes Branch had a big game but that was against Carroll, who shouldnt even be on the team. I dont know who the Texans slot guy is but I know he isnt Wes Welker and I know their TE's wont combine for nearly 200 yards of receiving on us so our pass D should be much better against the Texans. Like Ive been saying for a long time now, we ****ed up big time not taking Earl Thomas. Our safeties are completely useless in coverage and Sapp/Carroll just arent capable of stepping in for an injured Smith/Davis.

the texans are NOT the pats. that being said wtf is up with our sched? we get the pats and then houston . . . then sd on the road in 2 weeks. the jets had dallas (ehh) and now Jacksonville? i mean com'onnn mannn

We can stop them by hoping that Arian Foster isn't playing next week. There will be adjustments but the way our run defense looked it seems unlikely that we will be able to stop Foster. Next week is a scary match up for us. I'm not so much worried about Daniels and Johnson as I am if Foster is playing. If we have to keep our mind on him all the time I doubt we will be able to stop the other two.

sean smith and vontae will be fine its our nickel cb we have to worry about. hopefully jimmy wilson will get a chance to sniff the field sooner rather than later if sapp doesnt pick his game up... id rather see wilson get a chance and fail then keep giving the same guys chances.

this was only week one and we played a good patriots team... the defense will regroup and be true to form this sunday.
