so how did henne look?

You know past few years I really cant ever remember seeing Henne check his presnap reads of the defense, then audible into SHOTGUN formation and sling a perfect throw. Im not saying hes Peyton, Brees, or Brady. However its good to finally see Henne have the ability to actually quarterback the offense. In the old days henne would send the Runningback into the run blitz, or not make any adjustments only to be sacked by 2 Lbers going through A-gap. Idk if it was hennings offense or if henne just "got it" over offseason. What I do know is henne isnt the big question mark, its the offensive line. The question is, would u rather have a ****ty run game or pass game. We had the run game for 3 years and it got us 7-9, meanwhile teams like colts, saints and pats sling there way to the postseason. Henne played GREAT tonight with ZERO running game.

These are the same nuances that I have seen Henne doing that he has lacked in the past. He "appears" to be taking more command of the offense. However in respect to last year, when your offense looks like the equivalent of the original Techmo Bowl on NES, it makes if quite difficult to audible to a play that a 3rd grader didn't come up with.

Not sure how true it is because I didn't see it for myself, but I heard Gates dropped a deep ball as well..

He did, a well thrown ball. Should have been caught even though he was covered, it touched both his arms and chest.

He got a fresh hair cut and trimmed the beard a bit.
