(I put this in another thread but took it out)

So lets say your the GM next year. What are your top 5 moves? How do YOU bring back hope to the fan base?

I wanted to ask because there was a fan next to me that said "if Tannehill was playing we would beat Texans 100% and we would go deep in playoffs"

I really took a moment to pause and ask him how he based his opinion on that statement? His response is that he knows Tannehill will blossom late in his career and that good things take time. When we he said I could not help but chuckle and respond back" Do you think he is capable of showing more then we have seen all his years of playing? Would you agree that this is his ceiling and he just doesnt "have it"? HE looked at me back and said I know nothing about football and that Tannehill will have a better statistic year then most QBs that were drafted when he was.

I asked him what he thought about the defense and he responded we just need a better DC and better safeties to cover long passes....:facepalm

I told him our run defense is bad and our middle LBs need improvement, we don't need safeties. His response is, "well thankfully your not the GM"......:dead...i had a chuckle and stopped.

I was blown away when I heard him say that. I mean, to what point do we really fault our reasoning? I have been a Tannehill Supporter 100%. But I am fully convinced that he just won't be that QB to elevate us or personally puts games on his shoulders consistently to win games. I just dont believe anymore. But comments from fans like that just makes me shake my head and end the conversion to avoid having the person talk out of his *** and have the nerve to back up his talk of pure non-sense.

This team needs a QB. And a head coach, and a manager who knows how to get talent. I just dont have faith in this organization namely Ross to do it. I give credit to Ross in spending alot of money in trying to get this team to the top, but he just isn't a capable owner to do it.

I

OL, DL, LB, CB. Win in the trenches, get a viable CB2, and draft some talented linebackers for a change.

Then you go get a QB, so that instead of throwing him into this **** show, he has a fighting change.

You bend the knee to Gruden and sell out to get Carr. Whatever he wants.

I'm kidding of course but if Tannehill comes back healthy, it'll be like a shot of heroin to the entire team.

If a new head coach is hired,,,he must have an OC ,the head coach can not call the plays.

Falk isn't a better answer over Tannehill or Osweiler. DC replacement is the answer to fix this team.

Nick Bosa this year, Tua Next year. Then we gotta hit on the mid round guys. I’m hopeful we got some good young guys in recent drafts: Tunsil, Xavien, Jerome Baker, Mike Geiscki all look like possible good to great players we need more of them. Bosa and Tua would be longshots and require us to have a raider-like tank over the next 2 years

I really think Ross will sh!tcan TBomb and bring in someone else (Peyton Manning).

Fins need to finish 8-8 for Gase and RT to get another year.

Draft a QB, but if RT finishes strong then give him a short leash while a rookie learns behind him.

Trade players for picks now. DVP, Reshad Jones, anyone who will get you picks. Gotta build through the draft.

FA rule of thumb: resign own players on their 2nd contract. Even if you have to overpay. Only sign Incoming FA on their 2nd contract. These 28-32 yr old guys are declining health and ability. Not reliable and no chance of being around long term. No injury prone FA either.

Draft: Trade back, accumulate picks.

To many needs: Replace Burke, add G x’s 2, C, WR, LB, CB, DE x’s 2, QB.

Picks. That is it. There is no chance of more wins this year.
