I just watched the Patriots get a 15 yard penalty against the steelers because their DB picked their WR up and slammed him down backwards, after which the WR ran up right in front of the referee, did a big FIRST DOWN pose, and tossed the football forward away from the ref as the ref stared at him.

But Landry gets a 15 yard penalty against him because he spins a ball on the ground as he's getting up lmfao.

I think celebrations should be shown for TDS. Nothing more. Whenever i see a player celebrate for getting 10yds....lame. That's your job numb nuts!!

I agree. Those stupid first down celebrations need to go. Act like you've been there before. That is why I always admired Barry Sanders and Walter Payton. Two of the classiest players ever and they were never known for show-boating and trying to show up their opponents. Do your job and then get back to the huddle. Stop being so selfish and trying to make the camera follow you away from your teammates as you do some lame celebration for doing your job.

I think Landry's was more due to something he said than just spinning the ball.

Gonna have to also agree here. Every first down should not be worth celebrating. Maybe a long play thats not a TD but nothing else besides scoring plays on offense should be celebrated.

Landry got the penalty because he spun the ball on the Bills sideline. Here is an idea catching the ball for first downs is his job, how about he just go back to the huddle?
