He said to "kiss the old fight song goodbye". Does this mean the classic fight song won't play after each score? It's actually being replaced by "Fins to the left" nonsense? It'd be a cool song before the game and halftime and all, but it can't replace the fight song...

It will be revived by the next owner, after Ross.

I agree with Mandich. Ross isn't the type to soft shoe with a dose of what he considers weak nostalgia, mixed between his preference.

When something is rumored to be gone, it's gone. Like college juniors who say they are 50/50 to enter the draft. 50/50 baloney. Same thing with John Beck or Satele or virtually anyone else. You'll never go broke by projecting complete change instead of a meek half and half, when a new regime with specific plans takes over.

The new song can't stick. It's a rambling snooze. But the current boss likes it so we're stuck with it. Heaven forbid he gets a fancy for a newfangled uniform.

Stop being so damn lame Ross. I'm already getting sick of you. That buffet song is **** awful. The old one has nostalgia and kitschy value. That new abomination has nothing remotely good about it.

Q: Harvey, I rcvd a few phone call the other day from some buddies of mine, laughing at me about the new "Landshark" song. So I quickly logged on, oh that is BAD! I could not even call them back as I was to embarrassed. Please tell me someone is going to put a stop to that song? I would rather root for a 1-15 team than to hear that song in the stadium. Henry, Vero Beach

A: Sorry Henry. It's not replacing the silly Dolphins No. 1 song but it will be played several times during the games. Keep your Fins up!

The landshark stadium deal is only for 1 year, i seriously doubt they change the fight song to something buffett wrote because of that.

Lord. Do people really care this much about such trivial BS? I just want to WIN! I don't give a crap if they play Vanilla Ice after every td!

In that vein, I think the writing is on the wall with Jason Taylor. They will sign him. They've had a lot of opportunities to squelch the talk of Jason Taylor and they've not done it. In his most recent radio interview, Sparano says three things that make it pretty clear...

1. When asked whether they're discussing Jason Taylor or whether they'll pass, he goes on a long explanation about how they're discussing Jason Taylor on an ongoing basis.

2. Asked whether he thinks there's a way to put Joey Porter, Jason Taylor and Cameron Wake on the same roster as pass rushers, he says "Oh I think there's a way, definitely" and goes on to make the point, as they've said in the past, "you can never have too many pass rushers".

3. He emphasized, in counter to the thing about not being able to field enough pass rushers, that one thing they really need is the team first attitude, no egos, etc.

It's a very clever construct. They didn't draft a pass rusher high. Jason Taylor's coming back.

the only thing cheasier and more dated than the old fight song is jimmy buffet, and his new fight song. i actually wouldn't mind vanilla ice.

I understand people have preferences. But that guy said he would RATHER go 1 and 15! I don't want to go through that ever again. I would put up with pink uniforms and a dolphin in a tutu as a mascot as long as we don't go 1 and 15 EVER again!
