So if Manning doesn't come here, then what?

Mediocrity forever...

Matt Moore guarantees this...

Tannehill is another Henne...

tannehill can stare down a target just like henne could...but what nfl teams are gonna say in evaluating him is he's so new to the position that can be weeded out of him...teams are gonna bet on his upside...and overlook some of the flaws...

but one things for certain...matt moore takes us nowhere

As Jimmy Johnson would say: it's hard to throw 6 touchdowns against air.

and with heavy initial edge rush pressure to deal with and snow flurries and 30 degree temps to boot and also missing the best wr on the roster in greg jennings...

for those options i hold on to moore and try again next year for a qb. you arent winning anything this year unless its a peyton level qb anyways. so just build up the personnel and dont reach for a qb just to take one. once u take a guy in the 1st, u are stuck with him for 4-5 years like *ahem* sanchez. teams will give their 1st rounder every shot in the world to pan out so you could set urself back another 4-5 years reaching for flynn or tannehill. moore isnt that much of a drop off if at all and he is cheap and gives u cap flexibility

if manning passes best thing we can do from my view point is get flynn and front load the heck out of the contract given we have little to no money in the position with matt moore going forward taking a heavy cap hit in 2012 on flynn and allowing yourself should he blow chunks this year an easier out within the next 2 years with limited cap implications going forward and also allowing yourself to again given this new rookie wage cap use your top pick in 2013 on a qb should you choose to...

frontload the contract and give yourself an out and imo its the best play...if he becomes a legit qb that contract becomes peanuts if he doesn't you have an out down the line...concern for me though is would we sit on an average qb if thats what he was going forward for the long term...that would bother me if 2 years from now he's a top 20 at best qb and we're just treading water...

This is fair. But you cant front load it to the point where you lock up all your money and cant do anything else significant. Not for Flynn. But the idea makes sense if he would go for it. He may want more long term security, who knows.

obviously you have to make the money work cap wise but if you can work in a peyton manning you can work in a matt flynn...as far as what flynn wants given he's coming off a 7th round pick contract i can tell ya what he wants its called guaranteed money...thats the only thing he knows will be in his pocket no matter how he fares...his agent is gonna look for the best guaranteed money he can find...you put most the guaranteed money in the first 2 years of the contract and ideally a lions share in year one and he still gets his guaranteed loot no matter what you do 2 years from now and you give yourself a get out of jail card...

If we don't get him then we will try for Flynn which im not huge on. For me at this point its either Payton or bust. I would have been ok with RG3 too but thats over with.

I don't care what anyone says. If we don't get Peyton then I would rather just stick with Moore who was the 12th rated QB last year but still somehow gets no respect at all. Flynn will cost 4X the price of Moore and I doubt he will be any better. Rg3 was way to much to give up. Stick with Moore for a year and see if he can improve on last year. If no then draft 1st rounders until we hit.............and for all of you that are saying that Moore has already hit his ceiling......you don't know that at all. That's just speculation so stop trying to say it like it's a fact

It's not like Denver is going to offer the entire 50 million. Teams have capologists. Miami can structure a contract for Manning that would give him what he wants.

If we don't get Manning, I wouldn't make the trade for Flynn. 2 games is not enough to properly evaluate a QB. I think Moore is ready to make the leap into the next level of QBs. I gotta say, I think he played better than expected last season when he was the backup and got thrown into the starting role.

I think Manning has us last because he knows we have what he wants he just wants to listen to other teams for a clear conscious along with leverage for more money.

I think IF it isn't him it'll br Flynn or Tannehill at 8 for Miami.

Now that the trade betwene the Rams and Redskins is pretty much official, that really leaves us with one real option-"Peyton Manning". I wanted RG 3 from the get go but now if Manning chooses another team, then what happens? Please don't tell me after only starting two games in the NFL, that you really think Matt Flynn is the answer. Please also don't try and sell me on Tannehill either. So basically, we are screwed and stcuk with Matt Moore, again if Manning doesn't come here. Freakin hilarous. I'm sorry, but I know some of you think Flynn is a real viable option but I don't see it. Taking Tannehill with the #8 overall pick is too high for him as well. Man, I hope for our sake Manning picks Miami or else we will surely stink again in 2012.

Who said anything about tannehill at 8? We can get him with in the teens if we trade back and acquire more pics so we can address the ss position along with another passrusher to help wake... That would solve all your issue with taking tannehill with the 8th pick.
