So if we draft a DB in the 1st Round...

Who's your top choice and why?

*EDIT: I meant in the 1st Round*

It is between Huff and Landry.

Huff simple because he is the best DB available.

Landry because he is a Saban player. If we take him we 100% know he will fit on the Dolphins. He was recruited to LSU because Saban thought he would fit. He started at LSU because Saban thought he fit. And the only reason he would draft him is if he was sure Landry would fit.

But besides that, whoever Saban picks I'm sure will be a hell of a player.

I still haven't seen where Landry has declared. Today is the last day to do so I believe. Donte Whitner from Ohio State would be a nice addition also.

You need to add an option OTHER. If he is still there, M. Huff out of Texas is versatile, mature, one heck of a hitter and very savvy.
Aside from that I want Gabe Fullbright out of "The University of New Mexico" in the second day....He was the absolute best DB in the Mountain West conference, and he adds one heck of a KR and special team player.

Michael Huff can do it all. I don't think he'll be there he is too good, but he is by far my second choice to Cutler.

I voted for Jimmy Williams, because he is the best DB on that list. However, I dont think we will be able to draft him...

Between the other 3... I have to go with LaRoy Landry... He is physical and a sure tackler... as well as a free-lancing ball hawk. The kid is a playmaker...

Plus, since he has been in the system... we know exactly how well he will fit our defense. No guess work or translation from other systems needed.

Also, since he knows the system... he can come in and contribute right away.

He is the perfect if Jimmy Williams doesn't fall to us...

Jimmy Williams out of the 4 by FAR. It's not even close, but we don't have a great shot at him.

Neither...we won't take a DB at 16.We got Pat and Sam in the 2nd...we got Poole and Daniels in the 4th....we can get a DB later on...in the 1st round we should go QB,LT or LB.

Ozzy rules!!

If we go CB in the first my choice is Ashton Yoboty by far. No other CB in this draft is really close imo to the physical tools that he posses.

If we go S, in rd 1 I wouldnt mind Huff at all. Landry I think we'd be able to drop into the 20's and still get.

Imo just stay away from Jimmy Williams. I have an aversion to CB/FS tweeners.

As far as Ko Simpson he is imo the most intriguing S prospect out there. Hes the rare Soph who's 3 years removed from HS and still only 20. With great hands, a nose for the ball, good speed and cover skills the only real question is his maturity. And with that comes the question; will a top 20 talent drop into rd 2 or 3 like crowder did last year?

The other S I really like is Greg Blue. Defines the words physical safety. Good all around athlete as well.

05/24/05 - TEXAS senior defensive back MICHAEL HUFF ran 4.38 in the 40 for members of the coaching staff during a recent workout with the team...he is a member of the school's Track & Field team, so he did not workout for scouts in the spring...also weighed between 200-205 pounds, as he had lost a few pounds for the track season.
NEXTLEVEL SCOUTING, INC

I think I want Huff.

Sorry buddy but Ko Simpson is an older sophomore that's already 22. So he's a normal to slightly older senior.

Cromartie though is the real deal. If he's healthy fire away with a 1st round pick Saban.
