SO MANY GREAT THINGS TO SAY....but still some work is needed

FIRST OF ALL WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO Dolphins win baby.

so many great things about today's game need to be mentioned

1. Chad Henne...i am not crowning him the next anything but he played solid made some good throws showed good touch but zipped it when he needed to...he was very poised had a shaky start but got himself under control and looked great made quick reads and didnt make any mistakes.....i expect him to continue growing but he needs to work out hard this week cause he will have alot of blitzes to read next week

2. Running attack- Ronnie and Ricky get 36 carries and 3TD's OMG WE FINALLY GOT THEM THE TOUCHES THEY NEED...they tore it up and broke the back of the Bills if we keep running like that we will be a force.

3. Secondary- 3 picks...sean smith and vontae played great...both had some bumps but made plays when they were called on. Allen recovers after a bad week last week and got 2 of the 3

4. Pass rush- atleast 6 sacks....wtf where did wake come from he is a man beast jesus he is a force. JT got back to his old tricks and the 3 down did a great job of collapsing the pocket all day.

5. Special teams- i know they didnt do anything spectacular but the bills return game is prob top in the NFl so they did a good job not giving easy points to the bills

BUT

we still need some work on...

1. big plays- this goes on the secondary and the linebackers screens and deep passes allowed them to move the ball and get us in bad positions field position wise. We need to cut those down period

2. pass blocking- man henne was down alot today but never coughed it up thank god. I saw like 4 or 5 whiffed blocks that allowed guy to come free if we want him to start going downfield we need to get him more time

3. stupid penalties- the offsides on the punt those kind of penalties cannot be part of our game.


All in all i am very very happy with our performance today....receiver did well our back were amazing and Henne was poised and smart all day.

Couldnt agree more with your post. One concern I had was the inability to hit on some deeper passes going against the banged-up Bills secondary. Not that I am complaining, we played very well overall but I would have like to see some completions downfield. We definately need to protect Henne better. He was getting killed out there.

Agree with all your points, mainly NO TURNOVERS and finally a complete game on both sides of the ball. Nice to have that first win under the belt, maybe this will light a fire under the defense to play better week end and week out.

Wake was great, Lex was good on special teams, Roscoe is a great return threat so we did pretty good today, Vernon had a couple of bad plays out there where Henne got sacked, Crowder wasn’t half bad today, the Bills receivers are very very good so cut the rookies some slack- they did pretty good too. I think it was a great win. Just what we needed for Henne’s first start. Very solid to build from and another week of work with the first team. We are headed in the right direction.

Let’s kill the #@%$ &*%! piece of #$@) *&%$#$@ &$@!!%$ ****ing jets.

My biggest beef was with the amount of sacks we gave up today.

(the offensive play calling for the wr's).i didnt see much separation from the wr's today. we ran tons of straight take offs ,and it is hard to get space with these type of routes.most of these routes where covered well. henne threw them so are wr's or te could only catch them.we threw the ball well over the middle,and short.average to the outside over all.poor to the outside when it was his 2nd or 3rd option.his feet dragged,and his hips didnt open .so he short armed it.good to the outside when it was a timing route-strong throws.--------but no crossing routes short and long.no deep outs.no skinny posts.no play action pass's to the te over the middle with curl routes.i cant beleive that the te cant sit down somewhere in the zone for a catch.get ginn in motion and drag him short over the middle.i feel that there are alot of big time routes henne can throw.these straight flies down the side line suck.give me a few short curls ,setting up a stop and go.henne had to hold the ball.nobody was open running these weird and very simple schemed wr routes.
