52 picks over 7 drafts.

Very early signs from Pouncey & Daniel Thomas are acceptable. Vontae Davis, Sean Smith, & Brian Hartline have made some contributions. Jake Long, Paul Soliai, and Kendall Langford are solid.

8 players that you would arguably want on your team if you were starting one today. 8 players. And we can't even say for sure that Davis, Smith, Hartline, Pouncey, or Daniel Thomas truly qualify. The jury is still out. Benefit of the doubt given, 8 players in 7 years.

Over the same period, here are few names from the Green Bay Packers drafts - and keep in mind, the Packers were typically drafting lower than the Dolphins.

Aaron Rodgers, Nick Collins, A.J. Hawk, Greg Jennings, Daryn Colledge, James Jones, Des Bishop, Mason Crosby, Jordy Nelson, Jermichael Finley, Josh Sitton, B.J. Raji, Clay Matthews, Bryan Bulaga, James Starks, Morgan Burnett, Derek Sherrod, Randall Cobb.

That's an All-Pro QB, 3 big-time WRs, starting RB, 3 starting LBs, a top safety, top defensive lineman, great kicker, top TE, and a few starting offensive linemen. Unbelievable.

Watched the Raiders game today. I miss Satele. Too bad he didn't weigh 4000 pounds and couldn't move. Seemed to handle the Jets NT fine today...

Dolphins try too hard in the draft making it harder than it really needs to be. Quit drafting cornfed sh*t and trying to outsmart people by drafting low profile players with "high ceilings" and just draft the sure BPA.

Honestly Ross should throw the bank at the Packers GM Ted Thompson. Best in football !!!

Looking at alot of those names I can honestly say... "who?" to like half of them

It's true. You'd almost say that you'd have to purposely try to be that bad. There are so many busts that it is mind-blowing.

And the worst part of it is this - I follow college football. I can honestly say that, at most, I had probably heard of 8 of these 52 guys before they were drafted. Jake Long, Chad Henne, Ronnie Brown, Channing Crowder, Vontae Davis, Mike Pouncey, Pat White and Patrick Turner. And still, of the 8 that I had heard of, most had major question marks prior to the draft - Ronnie Brown always shared carries at Auburn, Crowder had health issues, Vontae Davis had reported attitude issues, Pat White too small, Mike Pouncey had some issues snapping the ball, and Patrick Turner was predicted to be a complete bust.

Terrible.

This is the bottom-line reason that this franchise has gone nowhere for 10+ years. When Marino was around, his arm alone could make up for some of our terrible drafts year after year. Without a player like Marino to cover for front-office mistakes, this team's bad drafts are repeatedly exposed.

Say what you want about Parcells but there's been a huge difference in the quality of the drafts since he got here. Retaining your picks for the first 3 rounds and hitting on at least one of them every draft is how you build a team. Several years before Parcells we didn't have a first or second or both in at least one case. I'm curious to know if trading for Marshall was forced on Parcells, it certainly doesn't fit his MO.

Parcells' drafts have sucked. I guess it is good that he drafts a DE in the first 3 rounds every year.

Pouncey is already in the top 5 as a C. He gets unfair criticism from some of you who can't let go of your opinion that he should be a G
