Is it just me? .... or does it seem like there are about 40 to 50 prospects in this draft that have first round talent?

In this draft, O-line is stacked, defensive backs are stacked, linebackers are stacked, D-line ain't too shabby. QB is light, which sux ... but other than that, there is so much talent this year!

I think it might be a good idea to accumulate as many picks as possible between the 25th selection to about the 50th selection. I think in this range, you can find some serious talent for bargain prices.

Thoughts? Opinions? Criticisms? .... Fire away! :cooldude:

I definitely think if Huff, Greenway, Cutler, and Jimmy Williams are all gone by pick #16 it would be in our best interest to atleast consider trading down and getting an xtra draft pick, however like you said the draft is stacked with talent, with other teams realizing this it may be more difficult to make a deal unless someone is desperate enough to trade up for a particular player they think may get snatched up somewhere near pick 16....

I'd trade down if Cutler, Greenway,Ngata and Huff are gone......late into the 20's are guys like Gilles,Carpenter and Lawson.....in the 2nd we could look at Mangold, Cromartie, Jennings and Croyle and in the 3rd Whitehurst,Trueblood and a few safeties and guards....we could come out of it with 4 very good players on day 1.

There always seems to be alot of players that people think are gunna be good, But the realization is that some guys just won't be able to play in the NFL. We might trade down but if we trade down 5 spots we are not going to get anything big for it so I see us picking at 16. Someone is going to drop. Lets see about this after the smoke clears from the combine.

Trading down isnt a bad idea if the player you really want is going to be there 5 slots down from where you are. You just can't be stupid like JJ was when he traded down early and sat there watching Moss drop like a rock right past the spot we should have had. He acts like that was no big deal but you know that one hurt.

If JJ hadn't make that trade he still wasn't gonna draft Moss....he was gonna take Holliday at 19 as he's stated many times. But I do agree that we should wait till we're on the clock before making any trades in case someone drops.Players that could drop this year include Ngata,Kiwanuka and after all the hype,I think Cutler could be there at 16.

if cutler or huff arent there, tradingdown would be great, im just wondering who would be the most likely suitors, well proboly have to wait til combines, where some teams fall in in love with certain players

I'd love to get 2 first roundres. If no one interseting is there at 16 I'd love a 20 and up 2 times.
