If we want to win THIS year, I think a few things are in order starting with the next practice:

1) Choose Feeley as the starting QB for the remainder of the year come rain or shine. Announce it to the team Tuesday.

2) Pick the offensive linemen we want to go through the year with and stick to them. No more changes on the line. If McIntosh is part of the plan, get him in there this week and keep him in there.

3) No more personnel changes! Get the starters in there and KEEP them in there.

If we keep changing things around this team will never gel. DW needs to figure out who he wants to go with and put them in there for good. Maybe by week 6 or so, with the SAME players in there the whole time, we'll see a vastly improved offense.

Whadday'all think?

BRILLIANT!!!! TO BAD WANNY HAS NO CLUE....LAST THING HE SAID WAS THE QB POSITION IS WEEK TO WEEK. :shakeno: I THINK WERE FINISHED AS LONG A WANNY IS THE HEAD COACH...

well of course you want your starters in there and keep them in there and of course you want to stick with the same line, that's a gimmie. I do agree, name Feeley the starter but if he really sucks in a game bring Fiedler in the bring them back(thats what he is best at) and go right back to Feeley the next game. I hate musical QB's but I wanna win by any means and if that means musical QB's then so be it.

I have always been somewhat wishy-washy on the keep Wanny-fire Wanny scenerio but if he doesn't completely change his offensive thinking it will be time for him to go. Its obvious that Miami needs to pass to set up the run. The o-line isn't ready for a knock down drag out fight for 60 minutes. Miami does have the wideouts and TE's to do this. Wanny's conservative style of play will doom this season.

The plan for me is to face up to reality...

Face it folks, Wannstedt has slowly done the same thing here he did in Chicago. Slowly erroding every facet of a team. Assistant coaches, game-planning, morale, discipline, player talent, everything. He's just not head coach material- at least not NFL head coach material. Maybe college. Maybe. Something about the guy brings a malaise to the table. He seems to be working off a blueprint he has in his mind of what worked back in Dallas in the early 90's. Unfortunately, times have changed. Bellichik up in NE understands how to adapt, Wannstedt doesn't. Don't be surprised if he lets Fiedler start again this upcoming week. He has some strange allegience to the guy. They're both guys that try hard, but don't have the tools, so maybe that's the connection. In any event, I believe this season will be a long one, so I'm planning on just kicking back and not worrying about it too much.
